Great cd player, would recommend!! Worked perfectly, video attached.
It came 2 days earlier than expected, worked perfectly immediately with both my CD and Bluetooth! I didn’t test other features as I won’t use them. Volume is great and I’ll include a video of it on Bluetooth but it worked just as great on CD. The remote worked when skipping songs on the CD or turning up/down the volume and I used the remote to change the function between radio, Bluetooth, cd etc. The buttons were easy to use as well I used it plugged in as it doesn’t come with batteries for portable use, you have to buy them separate. Super easy to use, I’m so glad I bought it! It’s going to be so aesthetic in my kitchen 🤭 Perfect blend of modern tools with that retro feel I was looking for This is my first review that’s how impressed I was 🤭

Manual very sketchy
This is a great wee gadget for my intended use. That is, to use in the kitchen while cooking, play CDs if radio is not to my liking. Also in outdoor shed. It being very light and portable that's ideal. There are only 2 things I'm confused about. 1. How to (can you?) save a station as preset? 2. The remote has 2 buttons marked FOLD- and FOLD+. No idea what these are for, they're not even mentioned in the manual. Ok, 3. The CD flap has to be opened/closed manually. Given where I'll be using it, the sound quality is acceptable, even good. Plug-in headphones ok, Bluetooth wireless ones won't work, but hey-ho. For the price, this is an excellent bit of kit. I'd not have it, nor did I buy it, as my main source of music/radio. So it has no DAB? So what? FM reception is fine. Even a basic DAB radio would set you back more.

As good as you will get for the price
I had a good SONY CD player (for audio and MP3) which I eventually gave to someone else. Then I looked on Amazon for a replacement as they have a wide range of portable CD players in this medium price range. I was very disappointed to find that very few now had true MP3 capability which was an overriding ‘must have’ for me. Also when I checked them out in the shops the quality of most of them looked and felt cheap, flimsy and plasticy. Eventually I chose this ROXEL CD player, mainly because it has the MP3 capability, it looked better than most others and it has connections with the UK which implied its quality would be that much better. When it arrived I was not disappointed. It does not look in the least cheap nor does it feel flimsy or plasticy which is no doubt due to the UK influence where ROXEL tell me that it is designed in Essex, made in China to their design and shipped back to their UK warehouses. It came with two power leads (UK 3-pin and European 2-pin) and a neat remote control with the battery included. The CD player uses 4 size C batteries which were not included. In operation the two 4W speakers gives more than enough sound for all but the largest rooms and for background music in larger halls. The tone can be adjusted to any of 5 EQ setting (Rock, Pop, Flat, Classical, Jazz). MP3 files can be played from a CD or a USB memory stick. I put a CD in with 202 tracks and I was able to move to any track I wanted (Press the REM/MEM button for 2 seconds then the TUN+ or TUN- buttons to scroll through the tracks). The aerial extends to 7 sections and produces clear reception of FM channels with can be searched by pressing the TUN+ or TUN- buttons where is stops at each station found, and can store these. I am very pleased with this CD player and think it is one of the best in its price range.

Good sound, good value.
Mainly purchased to listen to my music mixes via usb flash drive, and some CDs.Radio stations not a priority, so can't comment on ease of tuning etc. This compact box has really surprised me with it's quality of sound and volume (indoors,so far).Really pleased, and it pleasantly blends into background of my light colour scheme(I chose pink,as a change from black or silver!)The remote is also a welcome addition ,and easy to use.I would say that the opening of the cd lid at has been commented on by others, and is a little odd at first but, after a few times of use ,it becomes more second nature. But don't let that put you off if you want a nice looking, good sound, value for money purchase.

Acceptable
A bit over priced, acceptable quality but a bit too plastic and light weight. If you like a full base sound this is not for you. Maximum volume is not that loud but it's sufficient. It is clear sound at lower volumes which is nice, no distortion at high volume. I bought it for kitchen use where it works ok for me, it would not serve for me as a main sound system. Easy to use which is good because instructions are not the best. Remote works well but what the FOLD buttons do I haven't worked out yet, I'm guessing they should read HOLD, lol. CD lid is not nice, very poor design. Overall a nice little radio for what it is, it has a good "look", but a bit too expensive for the level of quality. The term Boombox is also misleading, no real boom at all. I've had other Boomboxes and they delivered substantial power unlike this unit.

The Roxel Portable Boombox plays sound crystal clear and CDs really well. It is not too big, so it doesn't take up too much space. The boombox remote control works perfectly and the FM radio, produces a great sound. It's not too heavy and the handle is convenient for picking it up. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker, via phones and tablets etc.
