This is one strong, well-built trunk. I bought this trunk for my son who is going away to college. It arrived in perfect condition and was packed very well. This trunk has 6 latches, with two in the front that accept a common lock, combination or key. I love the double added security. There is a nice seal around the inside of the trunk and while I have not thrown this trunk in a river, I am sure it is weather tight. I am very happy I did not go with the pressed particle board-type trunks. The Iron Brick is so much more solid and of good quality -and yes, it looks a whole lot cooler with plenty of interior space. This trunk has snap-back (spring) handles on both sides of the trunk and built in quality wheels, for easy one-person transit.
