I love the AccuMassager especially. I have very tight shoulder muscles that often give me headaches. This is the only thing that can really squeeze those muscles enough for them to start to relax. I used it happily and frequently for over a year and the center piece (where it bends) snapped. I was very sad. I wrote to the company, though, and they were extremely helpful, and sent a new one to me within days! I was amazed! Also, the new one has three spots where each ball can screw in, so I can apply a little more pressure to my shoulders now without applying as much pressure to the central piece (I have each ball screwed into the center-most hole). It is really such a fabulous product that I cannot recommend enough. I have actually gone down to only 2-3 migraines a month instead of 4-5. The Back Buddy is also nice, but for me the AccuMassager is tops!

I bought this combo because it was cheaper than getting both separately. I find that to be true for many of the items sold from Body Back Company. So if you are interested in a couple of items, I would encourage you to search for bundles. Anyways, the BBB is a great tool, but I won't elaborate on it here (see my other reviews for a review of that item). The accumassager is great for what it does, but somewhat limited in scope. I found that its primarily useful for the neck and shoulders. The two golf-ball like attachments are actually made of a soft rubber, which is good because it grips your muscles relatively well and feels better than a hard point of contact. They are also adjustable so you can move them along the device depending on what you want to target (i.e., closer together for neck and further apart for shoulder or legs). The limitation, as you can probably imagine, is that it is primarily designed to be a squeezing/kneading device. I would recommend this if you have neck/shoulder tension that can be relieved with a straightforward squeezing and limited kneading motion. Having said that, you can definitely get a lot of leverage with the device so you get a deep knead with not too much effort.

I've tried both since receiving them yesterday. I clearly overdid it, as I have a tendency to do with things like this (I have herniated discs in my cervical spine, and have knots along my scapulae that don't unknot; I'm always looking for some kind of release). But I can definitely say that it does SOMETHING, and as long as I can stop myself from being quite so zealous, I'll do more good than harm. I can tell the Accumassager will become a valuable tool in my arsenal; the Body Back Buddy is similar to a tool I already have, but has more bits and bobs and handles and things, so it may have more success getting at the bits that hurt. Well, I say MAY; it definitely DID. Which is why I put too much pressure on. I'll give it a rest for a few days, then try to be a little more gentle with myself. :-)

I deal with a lot of pain on a daily basis. Pain blocks stopped working so I have to find other ways to cope and reduce my pain. This was a great purchase. I was happy to see it at my door because my neck had been killing me all day due to me putting my arms in a position that morning getting dressed that my neck DID NOT LIKE (bi-level cervical disc fusion C5-C7) and it [the cane] provided much needed relief (came with easy & valuable instructions)! I took the other Accumassage stick to work with me so I can have something there..and I've already used it on my neck & shoulder.... and it works great, too! Very happy I decided to get these. VERY happy...cause I can't afford my masseuse as often as I'd love to!

The Body Back Buddy works great at getting the stiff sore points and knots in your back and shoulder area but the relief is somewhat temporary. The tool itself feels solid and doesn't flex under heavy use. I apply quite a bit of pressure on my shoulder area and it's awesome for getting that precise spot. The only downside is that while you get relief from the tension, it's not very relaxing since you're doing the work yourself. As for the AccuMassage, it worked awesome for a month then it snapped right in half!! The two little rubber balls squeeze tense areas in the back of your neck and trapezius muscles and feels great. The little string allows you to be able to hold one end in place while bring the other side down onto the problem area. I was using this almost daily until it just literally snapped in half! Pretty surprising as it seems to be able to flex quite a bit and I wasn't exerting that much pressure on it. I would give the Body Back Buddy five stars and the AccuMassage another five if it was more reliable and didn't break after a few weeks of use. So for that reason the review drops to three stars.

The blue body back buddy is great and I use it all the time- I don’t love that they changed it from the original material (it feels 3d printed now and lighter than the original). The grey neck and back massager with the string lasted about a month and then broke at the threaded spot. Waste of money. It’s too bad because I did enjoy using it while it lasted. Needs to be made with stronger material. Overall disappointed.

I love my Accumassage and Body Back Buddy. I have severe neck tension and headaches and the Accumassager works wonderfully on those muscles close to the cranium and down the neck. My Dad was a Chiropractor and no other DC has the gift my Dad had with neck adjustments. Both these tools are fantastic at working on my trigger points and especially the hard to reach rhomboids and shoulders. Great value and quality. Dad may be no longer with us but I am going to start calling these "My Dads."

I work in construction and sometimes the back pain is unbearable. The soft rubber balls can be positioned to suit your body size for more effective tension relief. Both products feel extremely durable, the back buddy feels practically indestructible. If you find yourself pressing your back up against door jambs for relief, or you just want to save some money on massage services, this pair of products is just what you need to greatly improve your quality of life. I highly recommend these two products, you won't be disappointed and your back will thank you!

Had back and neck pain for a while. My sister is a physio and recommended this. Works very well without needed to go get massages.

This is an amazing set. I suffer from chronic back and neck pain. I just opened the package 30 min ago and have already felt relief. Perfect for targeting shoulder and neck muscles.

Why didn't I get this sooner.. Now, Why don't I use this more often. Really effective!!

The body Back Buddy works fine but the second part of the bundle AccuMassage is of suck poor quality that one of the handle snapped after only 4 days of use.
