To dispense boiling water, the safety clip must be removed. Then, the button on the top of the round handle must be pressed down, whilst the handle is turned clockwise. For filtered drinking water, the handle is turned anti-clockwise and there is no need to remove the safety clip. Activating the flow of boiling water is an exacting action. All QETTLE taps come with a safety clip, which must be removed before boiling water can be activated. Without removing the clip, boiling water cannot be dispensed. QETTLE MINI IS STRAIGHTFORWARD TO INSTALL QETTLE MINI systems are simple and straightforward for a plumber, or even a competent DIY-er. Your QETTLE MINI tap should be up and running in just a few hours. Please note that water pressure should always be measured before installation. (the given daily standby cost seems too cheap to maintain very hot water 24/7)** A: The water is stored at boiling point, however the tank is extremely well insulated so it doesn't remain 'on' for most of the time. The water is heated to boiling and the tank then switches off and stores it at boiling. It only then switches back on to top the temperature up when it does eventually drop. It only needs to be on for a tiny amount of time to top the temperature back up and then it switches off again. **Q: How is the pressure relif operated? To waste or through tap into sink?** A: The boiler has a pressure relief valve built in. We have a great need of safe appliances and freeing hands from dangerous acts. For this the Qettle is perfect. It sits in the corner of the kitchen sink and swings over the sink and adjacent worktop.
