I have played around with face paint for my small children (4 and 6) in the past, and I've worked with the sponges and the brushes...yada yada. It was, frankly, a pain, and hard to get good at when you are just goofing around. I wanted something with better color (more vibrant) and easier to use. I can't believe how wonderful these are. My kids actually asked if they could do each others' faces (immediately upon opening these), and their drawings were actually wonderful, and easy to get off with a touch of soap and water. I was very pleased with the vibrant colors, and that the "crayons" actually twist up to give you more product than you see upon opening them. One note: The silver is not very visible. If you are buying it just for the silver or if the silver is important, you should probably get something else, or get just a silver separately if you really need it. It's not critical for us, so my kids just call it "adding sparkle" (aka, I can't see it, but they're happy, so I'm happy).

I bought these for my 7 year old, just to play with. I'm impressed with the quality! They go on easily, the colors are very bright, easy to wash off (if you don't leave it on too long- I will say that one time she didn't wash it off very well before going to bed and you could see a faint tint on her skin for a day or two- but if you don't sleep with it on, it comes right off. So don't do that and you'll be fine. Lol). She loves them, and they keep her busy! The reviews that say it's difficult to do fine details are correct, since they are so blunt, but you could probably use a small brush if you were doing something that needed fine details. For our purposes, they are perfect. Definitely a great product, especially considering the price. Once she uses them up, I'll probably purchase again.

Really happy with these face paint crayons. My biggest concern was irritating skin and being tough to wash off. Did not irritate skin and removed very easily with wet wipe or makeup removing wipe. Used for Halloween costumes and lasted fine for few hours.

These are fun and easy to use for any age.

We love these face paint crayons. We purchased them for our daughter's 5th birthday and she loves to paint herself and everyone else in the family. I don't mind at all because they are so easy to remove. We just take a baby wipe to it and off it comes. Doesn't leave any staining on the skin either. I will say though that because it's so easy to remove, it does come off on other things if you're not careful. My daughter cuddled a stuffed animal and the face-paint rubbed off onto it. So definitely clean it off before having your child lay down on a pillow or some other soft surface.

Not great for small details. As with the first pic, the point is so big it was tough trying to center the pic on her arm because she's very skinny. Obviously, it was tough adding color to the black outline without blending colors due to the point size. I would reccomend a white foundation underneath the paint on darker skin so all of the colors will pop. But they're still mostly decent without a background. Those earlier things being said, the color applies to the skin well. Very smooth. It's perfect for larger designs or designs with minimal details. It took two baby wipes to remove the butterfly on my thigh after about 7-9hrs of wear. So, it's got good staying power (disclaimer: I didn't work up a sweat so I can't say how long it would last on a humid day or during high activity). It didn't smidge unless I forcefully rubbed the design. Still, there's the tiniest bit of tackiness to it when it "dries." I guess the price is fair but the brand should invest in developing a smaller stick (to also sell) that's good for fine detail.

This is the best makeup to apply. It went on very smoothly. Very easy to apply. I liked that it was like a marker and I didn't get it all over my hands. My son didn't mind having it put on either, he said it felt good not sticky like some others we have tried. The only trouble I had was getting it out of my son's eyebrows. It stained alittle but came off after a couple of days. Will definitely buy again when needed.
