Awesome Experience!
Everything about this experience was smooth. Ordering was easy, delivery was fast and greate customer service. The AlloverPower 3V - 24V 1.5A 36W Universal Adjustable DC Power Supply Kit AC Adapter Speed Control Volt Display ON Off Switch with Variable 8 Plugs itself is top-notch. Giving five stars because nothing went wrong and everything went right.Highly recommend!

Good for adjusting power to an electric motor.
I have an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning vinyl records. It includes a little motor for spinning the records through the ultrasonic bath, but as designed, it's a bit fast. I used this to attenuate the amount of power it received so the motor would rotate more slowly. It worked perfectly.

You Need(ed) or Will this Power Supply
Solid and accurate. I have this semi-perm bundled with a similar sized volt-ammeter to test LV LED (pkg to 5 or 12V), charging packaged "lost brick" items temporarily and other short-term supervised uses. Excellent value and much smaller and useful than a large ultra-regulated knob & button covered box that click-clacks & flashes. Wall (120V) cord a bit short & knob covers wide range so touchy, but not loose and amazingly unvariable voltage (based on external meter) Amps output dependant on draw from whatever it's connected to. Similar products offer less range and price equal or exceeding this AlloverPower unit, longevity unknown but has handled brief shorts and remote interrupt (OV shutoff) well. Plugs are good quality and very helpful. One of honest: Buy this now you need or will soon need project, handiman, hobby or 'where's that pwr brick' (wired to + center) must haves.

Great for the money and for the right project.
Now you can spend crazy money for a good AC/DC variable power supply (VPS) for the bench but in a pinch you can try one like this. I, like many of you, have boxes of adapter bricks but can't find the one I need when you need it. That is where this little device comes in. In my case I needed the right voltage for a little Sony Camcorder that I was gifted. Now I tested this VPS before I plugged it in to make certain the voltages where good, and it was fine. I set the VPS for 7.2 volts checked the voltage, it was ok and then connected it to the camcorder. It all was good for the first 20-30 min and then the voltage started drifting. I needed to tweak it to keep it within the range of 6.8 - 7.5 volts. Now when I adjusted the dial to put it in range it was very finicky and a pain. So, if it works for you on your project, great! Or if you have the money get a good digital VPS. Good luck. R.

Easy...
Extremely easy to set up and use. Plenty of adaptors so you should be able to power virtually anything.

Not a battery charger?
I know this adapter is not designed as a battery charger, but when my little cordless vacuum batteries failed to charge, I used this to charge them up. The manufacturer sent the wrong battery charger that didn't charge the battery. I was ready to throw batteries and vacuum in the trash, but I got this adapter from Amazon in 1 day and hooked it up to charge and it worked. Happy to use the vacuum again.

The most useful thing I never knew I needed
It’s simple: a 3-24dvc power source. Used it in a generator class for excitation voltage and to troubleshoot an AVR. Also used it in conjunction with dc plugs with pigtails, and the Milwaukee top-off to troubleshoot a large tonnage chiller’s PLC, and power supply board. It’s cheap enough not to get if you find yourself working with VDC control equipment and need to power something that was powered by something that went bad (as a VERY temporary fix to keep temps. in check while you make the more permanent temporary fix), or whatever else you need from 3-24dvc. Very handy to not have it. Solid buy.

The lights are off and nobody's home.
Wanted this for a little project I'm working on just to have a quick and easy way to vary speed of a small DC motor... I didn't expect the world, just a crude dc source with a knob.Arrived in a clear plastic bag inside a bubble envelope... Wiring was disheveled as if it was a return unit.Plugged it in, clicked the knob, nothing. Hmmm. Maybe it's just the display that's broken? Checked with a voltmeter. Nope nothing. This vendor wins the prize. This is the first piece of electronics I've ever bought that was completely dead...If you're thinking of getting one, and wanna roll the dice, rest assured you won't get this one. It'll be in the trash a few seconds after I do a quick autopsy to see if the internal build/design is worth getting another from a different vendor.
