The new design uses more copper. The highlight of our frying pan is the 3.5 mm thickness. The copper exterior is 0.5 mm, the aluminum core is 2.5mm and the stainless steel interior is 0.5mm. Home chefs that love conduction in their pan will cherish this everyday use item. The aluminum core is a good compromise (over copper ore). This pan will heat quickly on the stove but also cool fast to prevent burning. The 11-inch frying pan excels in browning meats and for sautรฉing vegetables. Our pan has a 2" sloped side for easy stirring. The classic elegance of the copper bottom will tarnish into a heirloom tarnished patina that has been cherished by mankind for ages. Brighten up your life with the glow of copper.. The stainless surface interior is easy to clean and is neutral. This pan requires very little oil and promotes healthy cooking. Delicious gourmet entrees promote small helpings and cut down on caloric intake. The pan cleans easily. Ergonomic riveted handles allow for robust use. Review: I love these heavy copper pans because food cooks evenly - This is my second purchase from KilaChef. I love these heavy copper pans because food cooks evenly. It is hard to burn anything - though I do need to use less heat than I am used to. The copper looks beautiful when it arrives but soon tarnishes and forms a patina. This is common to all copper (see the statue of liberty). It is best to pre-heat the pan for a few minutes to prevent sticking. This is not a non-stick pan, but you don't need much oil. The size works out well for me. I can cook for four or else I have nice leftovers. For get-togethers I use two pans ( that i s why I got this one). In conclusion this is a value price copper pan that is perfect for my needs. Although it is not advisable, I do stick it in the dishwasher sometimes. I plan on getting some more for Christmas since many of my retired friends are now into making healthy, tasty dishes. Review: It is to short and not easy to grip - Bought this product for my father and he is very dissatisfied with the handle on it. It is to short and not easy to grip. Would not recommend this skillet for an older Individual, I know that it is stainless steel but it is very heavy.

This is just for decoration, it is not for cooking.
The idea to buy this pan was to have one copper frying pan. I tried it only once and most of the copper is gone! I just looked at the bottom after I finished seasoning and before washing it by hand. Almost all of the copper is gone, it is not a patina. It looks like it was just a paint over the stainless steel. It is not worth it.

The pan looks and feels beautiful but every meal I've tried to cook the food ...
The pan looks and feels beautiful but every meal I've tried to cook the food sticks to the pan and a thick layer develops between the food and the pan within 10 minutes to the point I can't use the pan. I've tried cooking at lower temps and tried different oils and foods but it just is not an easy pan to cook with.

How Nice !!!!!
I am blown away. Normally. I would wait to write a review until I have used a product for a while and I will follow up on this once I have used it. Unfortunately, I am restricted to raw fruits and vegetables for a couple weeks but I will use it as soon as I can. That said, it is a BEAUTIFUL pan. Weighty, very attractive and lavishly packaged. I do have to wonder about the negative reviews. Did these people take the time to educate themselves on the proper care, maintenance and use of copper cookery? In this day and age it would be quite foolish not to, what with the abundance of information at our fingertips. As I said, I will report back once I have put it to use. Meanwhile, I need to get out to my studio (that creative playground I call my kitchen) and find a spot next to my copper Mauviel collection for which to hang this gem.

Best pan in my kitchen!
I've owned one of these pans for close to four years now, and it's been everywhere with me. From dayily use in a easy kitchen life, to cooking on a propane camp stove for four months, to cooking on a wood fire that one time someone broke the campstove..... This pan is a champ! It still looks great, and barely has any scratches despite how hard I've been on the poor thing. I love cooking on it, I have used and owned dozens of different pans but this ones my go-to every time. I will be buying more of these in the future for sure!

Does its job
It cooks very well, but it is hard to keep clean and it tarnishes very quickly. First use.
