are the plates really not teflon? i know the description says Ceramic, just wondering if anyone that owns it can confirm that its not teflon.

It looks like iron and it doesn't look like ceramic the plates are not ceramic it looks painted with teflon. I scratched the side and it showed metal. It looks like it was painted with teflon.
