Great album for any EC fan!

First, let me say I am not a big fan of country. I discovered Eric Church when I attended Bob Seger's "Face The Promise concert in Atlanta. Eric Church was the "opening act". What got my attention right off the bat was that his band could play rock and roll and they were great, but Eric's lyrics and vocal style got my attention. Hmmmm...great rock and roll with great lyrics delivered by a voice that just had magical clarity to it. The next day, I ordered "Sinners Like Me" and found myself listening to it over and over thinking to myself...."what's a classic rock fan doing listening to and enjoying COUNTRY?" I downloaded "Carolina" from Amazon at 12:30 AM on it's release date and I've listened to it at least a couple of dozen times and it's only been out for a couple of days. Every song has something that will catch your musical ear. This is one of those rare albums that doesn't have a bad song on it. Five great rockers, five ballads, and two somewhere in between and all of the songs tell a story "Eric Church style". "Those I've Loved" will haunt you and "Ain't Killed Me Yet" along with "Young and Wild" proves Eric "likes his country rockin" "Hell on the Heart" and "Without You Here" are just great toe tappin' songs with hooks that will capture that "I need to hear that song again" feeling as your fingers hit the back button on your IPOD. This is a pure country CD that will surprise you. It's good rock and roll mixed with country creating a magic sound that you've never heard before Eric Church

On this Halloween 2009 I had a little Joke, I LOVE YOUR GHOST the MOST. I have tried Mustard and Fries. I have another Joke, Drink a little Drink, Drink a little Diet Coke. Is Church from NC originally? A real Southern Romantic Church. I think Eric Church Mind is really a Folk Artist's! He really is changing the Face of Top 40 Country Music with the CD Carolina! I like his more Easy Going CD Songs. WITHOUT YOU HERE, YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY, CAROLINA, HELL ON THE HEART, THOSE THAT I LOVED, and I LOVE YOUR LOVE THE MOST! You could think like Springsteen and Mark Twain, but you might think like Eric Church. He seems to Turn his Country Boy Self toward a more Country Top 40! /Calling Me Home/. And, Country is the Home in Carolina, and a Soutern Woman will /Tear You Apart/. I think He's a Shakespere Writter, where the Country is the Female. I don't know, it's Fun to listen, because in the 1990's it was Sonic Youth and the Pixies for Me. Eric Church CD is One of those I loved along the way. MH, 39, SC.

Great cd

this is a great cd to add to anyone's collection,a lot of times you buy a cd and there will usually be some songs on it that you don't really care for but not on this one,eric church has you waiting for the next one to play,they are all great songs, i bought it for the song drink a little drink,smoke a little smoke i play this cd every day and thats the truth.also it was fast delivery and in perfect condition.thanks bobbie lawson

Not a lot of his top hits on it.

I've yet to find an Eric Church song that I dislike. His songs are diverse enough that I never get sick of them, and I've been listening for four months. I also love how he nicely inserts aspects of Christianity into his lyrics. The three albums that I purchased here are the second set. I love his music that much. Mr. Church, I applaud you and your talent. May God continute to bless you, sir!

Ich habe ganz bewusst nach neuer Musik in meinem Leben gesucht und ein besonderer Teil davon ist Eric Church. So wunderbar besonders. Manchmal eine bisschen negativ, aber die Musik ist toll. Ich liebe es.

Bought Chief to find out how good Eric was, loved it so much and bought Sinners Like Me, both are excellent and worth buying. Have just bought and listened to Carolina. On first playing I thought perhaps the other two cd's were fractionally better but on a second play we are splitting hairs, they are all excellent cds. There aren't many artists who produce records without one or two average tracks but in my view Eric's albums rarely contain a single mediocre track the quality is so high throughout. If you are thinking about listening to someone new and you don't have any of Eric's cds then trust me, buy this or any of the other two mentioned above and you will not regret it. And if he comes back to the UK on tour, I will see you there !

I love anything Eric Church does, so this was just another bonus. Great CD!!
