**Q: What type of batteries does the unicorn take?**
A: I don't know the type of batteries the unicorn utilize as this was a gift.  You can contact Step2 and they should be able to advise.  I am positive the unicorn would only require  AA, AAA, C or D size batteries to light the horn/eyes etc.

So I am writing this review just to commend Step 2 as a company. We bought this as a gift for our daughter, and it came missing two J pieces. We contacted the company Step 2, and the customer service was phenomenal. They offered to send the 2 missing pieces and they should be here in a few days, and assured me they would arrive before Christmas as they are US based in Ohio. Outside of Amazon customer service which has always been top tier, Step 2 was great to work with!!!
