Neogeo Arcade Stick Pro - Neo Geo Pocket

Arrived very early, which was nice. The stock parts are really great for the price of this stick. There is a steel plate inside the bottom of the case that adds a nice weight and sturdiness to the feel. I was worried it would feel flimsy, but it feels great. The built-in emulator works well enough, though it did chug a bit during Metal Slug's busier sequences. Mainly, this is an upgradeable stick that is readily compatible with Sanwa/Seimitsu or similar Japanese parts, and clearly designed with that compatibility in mind. Customizing it was (mostly) painless. Awesome value and well worth it. And if you can find the Hylo mod, it pushes the value way passed it's price.

I have had the NG ASP (NeoGeo Arcade Stick Pro) for a little over a month now and I can say I am extremely pleased with it. I bought this with the intention of using it as an arcade stick for my PC, as well as playing the games built-in. —————— Side note: While I have built my own custom joysticks for Raspberry Pi units with Sanwa parts in the past, this is the first stand-alone stick I have ever purchased. —————— Hardware impressions: The stock stick and buttons feel adequate at best, but definitely passable for the casual player. Having used Sanwa parts in the past, I felt the buttons by comparison were a bit stiff, with the joystick having a bit of a longer-throw than I was used to. I decided early-on I wanted to modify the unit (although this will void your warranty) and purchased a set of Seimitsu brand parts after hearing recommendations from several YouTubers. After installing the parts, I can only say, “absolutely no regrets.” The level of control and responsiveness is leaps above the original set of parts and makes the NG ASP feel like a completely refined unit. Keep in mind that the additional investment to upgrade the parts can add up to well over $60 at least (LS-56, PSK-14K x 8, 8-way gate, shaft cover, dust cover, ball top, and mounting plate), but it’s purely a personal preference. —————— Software impressions: If you are a fighting game fanatic, make no mistake that this stick will supply you with enough to keep you happy. 20 games to start from the stock firmware, but can be upgraded through SNK’s website. All 40 can be accessed through alternative methods as well. Also to note, there are other ways of expanding the library, but will leave this to the users to explore on their own. I have also used the joystick with my Steam library and am able to report zero issues with device detection and usability. Successfully loaded up several games and played them with the NG ASP with no noticeable issues. —————— Overall: Extremely pleased with the product. Was originally on the fence about purchasing one, as I had owned the rather mediocre NeoGeo mini and was a bit critical of the brand as a result. Without hearing the rave reviews of other YouTubers, I would have definitely passed on this unit. It appears SNK has listened to it’s fans and truly delivered this time. For the casual gamer, the NG ASP should satisfy your immediate needs, especially if you just want a fun unit to play your games. For those with expendable resources and time, you will notice a significant difference in usability after upgrading the parts. Highly recommended.

This is a great console that I recommend. Though, it is on the pricey side compared to other mini's. I only have two complaints; 1. Why aren't ALL games included? Why just 40 out of err, 115 I think? It's all SNK innit, besides, they have other selection of games for their other mini's, so, they could of just, you know, included EVERYTHING they have the rights for. Also, other than the Metal Slug series, most of the games included are fighting games, so why not include a greater variety? Lets just be clear; many minis aren't actually made by the company that made the console, and in any case, even if they were they still wouldn't hold the rights to most of the games. However, this is SNK, their console, most games are theirs. This actually bugs me a lot, this artificial limit on their games. Like, why? Yeah, I know for instance the Amiga mini only have 25 games, and 40 is more than 25, however, as I just said, that is done by a company that had to negotiate rights. But SNK doesn't, so, it's just like, you know, why, SNK, why!!? 2. The upscaling occasionally causes sprite artifacts, such as blurry hands or the like. But only for some games and only occasionally. You can also change the upscaling settings, to find out what works best for each game, but that is a bit of a hassle. I was very close to giving five stars, but the cost combined with unnecessary greed for not sharing games they probably already have all rights too and can do as they please... come on!

love it! its a pretty great console/joystick controller , good size and pretty good built. great for classic King of Fighter fans and other neo geo games.

ネオジオミニにやられて、やはりゲーセンでプレイしてた身としてはレバーでしょと購入(笑) 若干レバーが硬い気がするのですが、昔のゲーセンを思えば全然気にならず！ 格ゲーがやりやすくなりました。

Eksiksiz ve sıfır ürün olarak teslim aldım sağlam bir şekilde iyi paketlenmişti. Satıcı mağazayı kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. Ürüne gelecek olursak sağlam bir arcade stick oldukça kaliteli.

Le produit est bien fait, facile d'accès et présente une offre de 20 jeux inclus avec la possibilité d'en débloquer 20 autres, via le site SNK. Ce qui amène plus de diversité aux jeux car la base est vraiment centrée sur la baston en 2D, avec les 20 titres supplémentaires on accède à (un peu) plus de variété. Un petit point de déception, la partie adhésive des patins anti-dérapants ne tient pas toujours bien, j'ai eu le cas sur deux, j'ai pu en sauver un mais pas l'autre, ce qui fait que pour l'instant sur trois pattes l'objet est un peu bancale. Mais cela doit pouvoir s'arranger.
