Shipping was fast and in a little box you'd never think contained a mattress! I didn't know what to expect, for this is my first "topper". I had read other reviews and knew to wait several days before using it (I did not notice any odor as some have mentioned having to "air out"). I then placed it right on the rather firm mattress that came on my adjustable bed and covered both with one mattress cover - they work fine together. All my sheets and comforters fit, and it flexes with the adjustable bed - all a surprise. Best of all, I sleep so comfortably now and truly feel no pressure anywhere (I have had back, neck, and shoulder surgeries in the past few years). Think "sleeping on a cloud". So happy I waited on buying the one in the store I considered - for many dollars more. After letting the memory foam mattress air out and expand to its 4" thickness, (I waited 24 hrs.) which wasn't really necessary, sleep came within 15 minutes, and lasted all night.
