Real food - for cats!
I feel weird reviewing cat food. It's cat food after all. But, we don't just give our cats any old food these days. Everything has to be better, grain free, extra this and improved that. Sometimes I think the critters eat better than me! Regardless, the Weruva canned food is pretty darn good. It looks like real food! The chicken flavor looks like I just poached a chicken breast and shredded the meat with a little gravy on it. It even smells like real food! The chicken and beef is the same way. In fact, the shrimp and seafood one has actual shrimp in it; not just ground up bits. There are recognizable pieces of whatever flavor inside. On top of all that, it has the required grain free, starch free, and everything else that we wanted to give our kitties. The cats are healthy and have a nice shiny coat so I am pleased with this food more so than any other cat food.

Still Looking
I have ordered at least 8 cases of this product and the chicken, I like the ingredients and have no problem with where it is made and have almost fed all of it. My concern and why I won't be ordering any more, is that a few of the cans in each case the cats absolutely refuse to eat. I cannot tell what is wrong with these few can in each case, they look the same, smell the same, but the cats won't eat them. I throw away that can open another can and they eat that. I know cats are picky but I have the feeling something is wrong with a few of the cans and I'm tired of tossing the food. I will not be ordering any more of this or the chicken flavor and will resume feeding Purina Fancy Feast, which I am not thrilled with, but they always eat every bit of the food. I am not thrilled with the ingredients, amount of salt, and a few other items but they will eat it and its canned. I will continue to look for other brands of canned food. It ships fast and cans have arrived in good condition lately.

perfect for my picky kitty with kidney issues
I have a 5 year old cat who has kidney issues. Her vet recommended that she be switched to a strictly wet food diet because she needs the extra moisture more that an average kitty (although all cats can benefit from a wet food diet). She just wouldn't give up the dry stuff no matter how many different wet foods i tried with her. I refused to get anything that contained carageenan and although she loves fish flavors, i worried about heavy metal contamination. I found this and decided to give it a try because she also likes beef flavors. It's kind of odd because it is nice shredded bits of beef and chicken, but it is in kind of a gelatinous substance. but really, it gives it a high moisture content which is perfect for her, and she really loves it. she won't even look at the dry food if she has this in front of her. it's a hit every time. Another plus is that is processed in a human food grade facility and Weruva does not take part in or support animal testing, which is very important to me. It's good, high quality food. Perfect.

Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Double Dip Au Jus Canned
I have two cats, and they love both the Weruva Paw Lickin Chicken and the Nine Liver canned formulas. I purchased this product thinking my cats would love the two flavors combined, and boy was I wrong. The food is extremely gelatinous, and upon inspecting the food for a bit both of my cats refused to eat it. I also tried giving it to a group of feral cats which I help care for, and they too turned their noses up and refused to it. Lesson learned so I will be sticking to the formulas I know they will eat as this food is too pricy to experiment.

My cat likes it. Seems high quality.
I got this to try to introduce some variety into my cat's diet. He's obsessed with Paw Lickin' Chicken by the same maker. He likes this variety. He'll eat it. It appears to be good quality, with a lot of "sauce." The only thing about Weruva food: My cat is ALWAYS hungry when he eats it exclusively. Apparently, this food is very low in calories because of no cereal content. This is good, but he seems to need TWO cans a day of this to not be frantic and begging for food every minute. He's lost weight on it - and he wasn't overweight to begin with. The food is pretty expensive to have to feed multiple cans per day. I'm going to try to keep him on it though, because it seems to be one of the most recommended foods, and it doesn't come from China. That alone recommends it - I'd never get ANY food processed in China.

Weruva is one of my favorite canned cat foods and I am very selective about ...
Weruva is one of my favorite canned cat foods and I am very selective about the quality of foods I feed to my cats. I feed mostly raw with some canned for meals while the raw is thawing out. This food has a solid ingredient panel and I like that the food is processed in human grade facilities with top cuts of meat...not the leftover bits. The lamb burger and the double dip beef have always been my boys top two favorites, and I love that they have organ meat in them which has a lot of nutritional value for cats. When you open a can of this, you can tell that it is real food and see the pieces of meat! I don't think you can find a better quality canned cat food if you are going to feed canned. I will always rotate Weruva through my boys' diets and Weruva's other lines of canned cat food are great as well. A tried and true favorite!

PURRFECT nutrition for your cats!
Oh, a VERY satisfied Sphynx cat I have now. Weruva is most definitely more costly BUT sometimes it is what we need to spend for those we cherish. Yes, I love my crazy little feline and this is by far one of the most nutritious foods for them. High MEAT protein, high moisture and no veggies, cheese, eggs or other nonsense which cats do NOT eat in the wild ever. They are carnivores, period. Most cat illnesses, (not found in wild cats), are caused by feeding them a diet filled with food their bodies are not equipped to digest. If I had time, raw meat or home cooked would be best. YES, it is time consuming and not always easy to switch cats over. But seriously, even if your budget is inflexible, ANY wet food is better than dry food. The costly "special" food the veterinarian sells for your cats "problems" is not nutritious and THAT is a waste of money. Always look for high protein (not from eggs veggies or cheese), but MEAT and HIGH moisture. Right now, WERUVA is the closest I can get to feed my cat properly. I spent time educating myself. I only wish I had learned decades ago.

It has a really strange texture, with the jelly and minced meat combined.
