Do you have to clean around the edges for extra liner?

after it is applied, it bonds to the denture. Eventually, it wears off and needs to be replaced, about every 3-5 months. While it is on the denture, it is as if it becomes part of the denture. In fact to remove it (for replacement purposes) you have to soak it in extremely hot water and peal it off. Hope I've answered your question.

Does it set up hard and smooth or soft and rubbery? I used a similar product years ago & found the soft ones chaffed my gums the hard kind didn't

They set up hard. They may be a little soft at first but in less than 12 hours they are relatively hard. They tend to "burn" a little bit when you first put it in your mouth to mold it but it's worth it to me because they make my denture fit so much better.

When do you mold it? And how long before you can just go - out doing whatever? How often do you have to do it?

just follow the directions, they;re pretty clear. i used it on my first pair of dentures and when I broke them the liner was still good. It did at first have a terrible taste. If this happens just sprinkle with dry baking soda and it will absorb any unpleasant taste.
