Exeptional!
I finally decided to give my 1976 Toyota Corolla Station Wagon a well deserved coat of paint, and of course I wanted to finish it off by painting the wheels. Let me tell you, the wheels on this car were BAD. I tried sanding them down, but seriously, they were pretty badly rusted, etc. So I ordered a couple of cans of Rustoleum 248927 High Performance Silver Wheel Spray Paint for the wheels, along with 8 cans of Rustoluem Hammered Copper Spray Paint for the body. Of course it's all about the prep work, and I was doing this while the wheels were on the car, so, I started by wiping down each wheel with mineral spirits, then I used aluminum foil to block any holes and cover the hub caps, and covered the tires with some masking paper and tape. The other reviews I read on Amazon mentioned getting good results using very light coats, so I followed their advice, and I certainly agree that that is the way to do this. The first coat doesn't even look like much, but it dries fast (10 minutes or less), and each successive coat really does look better. Finally, after about the 4th coat it started to look pretty good, and after 6 coats I felt I was done. Not bad, less than one can for 4 wheels. No problems with clogging etc. Honestly, I was amazed that this paint actually made these old wheels look so good. Just use light coats! By the way, I've attached a photo of the finished car, and if you're going to be tackling a big job like I did, I highly recommend you consider getting the Rustoleum Comfort Grip. It's a little plastic handle thingy that attaches to the top of the can and has a lever that you squeeze to activate the nozzle. It really is worth the small extra expense for how easy it makes spraying a lot of paint. Good luck.

Great paint!
I've been spray painting all my life and I can feel when a paint is durable. I chose this paint because if it was designed for wheels and the raw elements at speed with debris, it would have to be durable enough for my fixie. I'm in FL. so the heat of the frame and the paint never had to be questioned. It's a straight forward durable paint, Use light whisping strokes when you apply the first coat. Not only does this stop any drips or runs, it also gives you the feel for the nozzle spray. The first coat should be somewhat dull. This paint is great because it's hard to the touch in 10 minutes and fully matured in 30 mins. Wait an hour before you apply the final coat. Begin your final coat 1 inch closer and a half a MPH slower and this paint will give you the perfect semi-gloss for more than just automobile rims. If you want a durable paint, buy this! You will not beat the quality for the price.

Great Paint!
This paint worked great on my steel wheels before installing new hubcaps! I only had to clean them with steel wool and ajax. After rinse and drying out, the paint went on smooth and beautiful! I later used the same can on my windshield wiper arms and they look great as well. I still have some left over!

Easy To use, great Price!
This paint was really easy to use, it was cheap and it looks great, I got it to paint trailer wheels that were white to match the factory powder coated rims on an 04 dodge ram. Its not an exact match but it is very very close (hard to tell unless you look up really close). The any angle sprayer is awesome and makes it that much easier to paint. the only downside is it is glossy, but in my opinion not as glossy as the cap, it dulls out a bit when it dries. If you get the clear coat though it looks great!

Nice cheap alternative
I have a 2010 honda pilot that had horrible wheels/rims. The chrome was peeling and there was brake rust on it. I sanded the rims down with an electric sander and had to hand sand it between the ridges. I used several coats of black primer from the same brand and then used several coats of actual paint. Someone on YouTube said you don't have to cover the tire because the paint will come off. That was not true. There is black paint on the tires. My fingers started to hurt and were numb from the cans. There are some tools that you can add to your spray can that makes it easier to spray. If I had to re do it, I would get that special tool. A couple of months later and it still looks good. Slight chipping on the edges but that is mostly due to user error. You should take off your wheels but I don't have the strength nor time to do that for every single tire. I stuck plastic in between to block the paint from hitting anything behind the tire or inside. Also used painters tape over the bolts. I ordered three cans. Way too much. I could have done one or two only especially because I had the primer.

Matte Black perfect match Tesla Induction Wheels
My Tesla Induction Wheel Rim hit highway curb in a snow day at 50mph, 3/4 of rim edge scratched. For preparation, i just removed all pop up sharp metal piece because the scratched rim edges are too rough and too hard to sand it smooth by hand. I bought spray bottle version, but i do not want to spray on wheel directly and get messy. Therefore, I sprayed Matte Black paint in a cup and dip the paint by a small brush on the rough edge. Beware that spray paint like liquid seep into the rough surface very well, however, after 5 mins, the paint thinner started evaporating and paint became thick which hard to paint rough surface. Therefore, spray a little at a time and paint fast. The matte black paint took few days changing from semi-gloss to complete matte black. After rim repair, adding tire gel and spread a little gel on rim, the tire and rim looks like same matte black as photos. I painted all four rims used only maybe 1/5 bottle of paint. The rest of bottle also sprayed metal mailbox, metal cable box, they all came out good matte black surface too.

Good paint
This paint is amazing! I spent about 6 hours prepping, sanding, and painting my rims. Spray was even and consistent. Just make sure to do a light coat the first time, then a “wetter” second coat, followed by a third coat. I waited 30 minutes in between coats and finished with a clear coat. Prep is essential for it to last. I only used about 3 cans on five wheels.

Wheels and hubcaps
I’d say when you’re cleaning everything initially make sure to use hot soapy water and a good nylon brush and a Lotta elbow grease to make things easier. I ended up not priming, because the wheels barely had any rust, and they turned out really good and smooth finish, with just 1 can of black. But unfortunately, my hubcaps were in pretty bad shape so, in hindsight, I should’ve did a prime first, as when I was initially cleaning them with water from a garden hose and hose gun, more and more of the original paint, kept peeling off. And I ended up running out of spray paint, I should’ve been more targeted when spraying the spokes instead of just going from side to side and wasting paint . I had to order a second can to finish the job. Overall, the hubcaps turned out OK pretty happy about them, but it does feel rough to the touch a little bit, and if you look really closely, you can see the original paint in some areas, I didn’t bother using the clear coat on the wheels or hubcaps, I imagine if I were to put a clear coat on the hubcaps, it would magnify any of the ununiform areas or the rough final coat.
