Toddler's favorite toy!
I got this stacker set for my little son quite a while ago, but due to some hospitalizations, he really only just started playing with it about a month ago. HE LOVES IT (and so do I)! Not only does it not have a center post (dangerous for unstable early-walkers to play with), but the cups will stack in any order, both right-side-up and up-side-down (a little wobbly upside down, but still stable enough to stay together). The edges are very easy for little hands to grip and little teethers to bite. The "rings" also roll very nicely on their side, making them fun for crawling practice (I would roll them all away from baby, and let him chase after them!). One other fun thing that we do with these stackers is spin them like a top! If you put them with the "stem" down, and spin them, they go on and on and on! My little one just LOVES it when I get them spinning. Now that he is 18 months old (he is developmentally delayed), he loves when mommy will experiment - maybe stack 2 "rings" together and get them spinning, or see how many we can stack and spin, or even seeing if we can get the biggest one to spin while sitting on the smallest! We also put the rings on their sides and see if we can balance them (we, as in mommy and son!), or twist them while they are on their sides! They make a pretty neat sound as they come off the edge! Overall, this is a great toy! Very versatile - not like some stacker sets, where not only can you only stack them in one order, but there is nothing else the things do! It is going on my favorite-gifts-to-give-new-mothers list!

So simple and yet so simply satisfying.
I'm a fan of Green Toys. Yep. But please don't get me wrong - I'm not some Hipster McGee jumping on the bandwagon of a company for "street cred". Nope. I eat gluten like I invented it. I don't wear a madras fedora, have a handlebar mustache, facial piercings, or a stupid haircut that involves a mélange of shaved and long areas. I do wear thick black glasses, however. But that's because I am legally freaking blind. That information aside, I appreciate quality toys. The ecologically friendly feature is a bonus. Green Toys are made in the US from recycled milk jugs and they're made very well. That's what matters to me. The plastic is thick and has a pleasant stippled matte finish. And whoever sculpts them is a detail badass. I've already bought my son a bunch of their products. But we're talking specifically about this "My First Stacker", right? This is our favorite Green Toys product so far, based on sheer usage. It's so simple but it gives off a cleanly-designed and quality vibe - plus the colors are a soothing pastel. The pieces make a charming noise when knocked together and both my son and I love stacking them. Me, because I'm borderline OCD (and must organize or risk my brain exploding), and him, because he's figured out that that's what they're for. I highly recommend this toy for your sweet little child. It's a bargain for its quality and it's simplicity in form and function is what we could all use in our hectic lives every so often. That was deep.

Green product that the kids love
We got these for our twins as they started to outgrow their simple baby toys. Although they aren't consistently stacking them yet, they still seek out this toy. I actually prefer the recycled plastic in Green Toys to the new plastic in other toys. This plastic is nice and durable and has a matte finish. They really are beautiful, it any plastic toy can be called that. Each stacker fits into the other very precisely, this is no junk toy! The middle of each stacker has a large knob that the kids can easily pick up. (they really remind of or air hockey pucks). Our kids love to grab two of them and use them like cymbals to raise a racket. The edges of each are also wide, allowing our kids to roll them down the hall, which they also love to do! The ease with which they can be handled, combined with the chew-proof durability, lead to these being played with often in our household. I think these will be around for awhile!

Unique and safe stacker option
I love this stacker. Like another reviewer, I first purchased the Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker . However, the tall wooden stick that serves as the center of the stacker scared me when I saw my 11-month old playing with it. While in general wooden toys are awesome, this one seemed more like an unwieldy, splintery spear that posed serious danger for her at this point in her life. She doesn't have the muscle control to ensure she won't fall on top of it and spear herself. This Green Toys stacker alternative is the least offensive plastic option you'll find - toxin free and made from recycled items, it's both practical and reasonably socially responsible. The design (no center pole), makes this stacker unique from other options out there, and makes this toy safer and more fun for younger babies than alternatives. I think the design is really pretty innovative. The only down side is that whatever the plastic is made of, it seems to generate static/stickiness and attract whatever is on my floor. It is always covered in tiny hairs and particles, and every time I see it I feel like I should be vacuuming and worry about my daughter eating icky things from the floor. That said, I think it's relatively harmless and it's possible I just don't vacuum enough.

USA Made and lots of fun!
We try our best to buy USA made products so when I stumbled upon Green Toys I was excited. The quality of their toys blew me away. I’ll forever be a customer of theirs. This stacking toy is played with hours on end by our 9 month old. He loves taking it apart and is even figuring out how to put it back together. I highly recommend it!

Great toy!
I bought this stacker for my 7 mth daughter and she loves it. The size is perfect for her little fingers and she entertains herself when it's placed in front of her. She enjoys dismantling each piece, chewing and hitting the pieces together to make a noise (her Father taught her that). I've put the stacker on the top rack of the dishwasher and it cleans perfect. I also enjoy the colors as every other baby toy is so bright, this looks different. As a Mother, I really like the fact that it's recycled, made in the USA and is not a health hazard for her. It's worked out really great for us.

Great toy for a 6-7 month old.
I bought these for my baby when she was almost 7 months old. These are her favorite toys! After she learned how to sit independently, I can plop her down and put these in front of her and she'd be able to self entertain for at least 20+ minutes. She knocks them over, picks one or two pieces up at a time, hits them against each other to make noises, and of course puts them in her mouth. I think she is fascinated with the colors and shapes. When she's on her tummy, she'll roll to get to pieces that got away. Now that we've had them for over 1 month, she's still just as fascinated by them. I don't think we've gone 1 day without her playing with them. My guess is that as she gets older, this will grow with her as she learns her colors, sizes, and how to stack. I think they'll be easier to stack compared to some other stacking cups out there since they can stack in any order with exception to the top yellow 1/2 dome cap. Oh, and they can be easily washed and dried. Colors haven't faded. And, they're super durable.

I love this toy and so does my son
I LOVE this toy. I bought it for my 6 months old knowing it will probably not be perfect for his age but I saw him knocking down some bricks at a friends' house and thought he might like it. This is a great stacker toy. It has no middle post but the "cups" are still easy to hold and toss around. The colors are great and they are steady and firm- definitely built to last. But what I love most about this stacker set is how "forgiving" it is. You can stack the caps in any order and they will stand very stable on any carpet or floor. You can stack them upside down and they will still fit. I think that is a HUGE plus for a baby just starting to hold and stack things to be able to succeed with this toy every time. For now, I mainly do the stacking and my son just knocks it down but he loves to hear the noise they make when the "tower" falls and he loves the colors. He also loves putting them in his mouth so it doesnt hurt that they are 100% natural with no PVC- made from recycled milk containers. you can feel a lot of thought went into making this toy- a success!
