Vanguard Boot Bands: Trouser BLOUSERS - Green - 2 Pairs

Honestly I was so against ordering Vanguard. I got "hooked on" these ones by a brand called BrigadeQM They call them "Boot Blousers - Elastic Blousing Hook-On Garters - Tan 499" . The SKU is HOG99. They cost about $2.20 as of Feb 20, 2025. I thought those were great because they were thick and held on better and I never had any issues that made me not want them. Sure they rolled down but rarely came apart. Well I only had (1) pair of them and I kept forgetting them at home sometimes. I needed a backup pair. I couldn't find them anywhere else besides the company website. So I took a chance on Vanguard and NOW I got a new favorite. Heres why: • These blousing straps/bands are FAT. Like mad thick. Like that girl at the club with junk in the trunk THICK. • They dont roll down. I have had no issues with them rolling down my boot. • They'll probably wear out but it doesn't feel like I'll be replacing them within a years time frame. • Hook does not feel like it will cut into my pants. Its a hook people. If its got a point it will go through clothing; HOWEVER, it doesn't seem to shift during the day, thus I have more confidence in it not poking a hole through my pants when I wear these properly. • Its not overpriced. And I get free shipping with prime. • I ordered (1) pair as a test run and now I'll be ordering a few more backup pairs. I'm passionate about having the right blousing strap. I've seen those skinny ones and I've had one lose its elasticity. These give me hope, especially doing a blue collar job that I do. Vangaurd did not pay me for this review and I don't do reviews often. I wanted to offer my true 2 cents on something that actually is worth letting other people know, "Hey if youre looking for blosuing straps with hooks, then check these out."

Works as intended with a quality build, perfect for creating a more presentable bloused appearance.

I've never had to blouse trousers before, so I have no prior experience and can't compare these to other products. That said ... I opened the package and pulled on them: they stretched, didn't come apart, and returned to size when released. Then I put them around my ankle (as I wasn't wearing boots at the time) and found it easy to connect the ends and not so tight as to hurt or constrict blood flow, but not so loose as they wouldn't stay put. Yet they had sufficient stretch to accomodate blousing the trousers. I think they'll do fine. They're made by a reputable and well known supplier of military uniform accessorites and they were very well priced. Given that, I think they're worth a try.

These boot bands fit comfortably but overtime they stretch too much and loose the elasticity. It works and functions for blousing my uniform well and it lasts for quite a while.

They are supper cheap and easy to use. Just after a while the can fray or totally undo themselves. Just gotta be careful.
