Is the battery for this product available on Amazon?

No. There’s no batteries or anywhere to put batteries into this controller. It comes with a cable and has to stay tethered to your console. It does lock into place so you don’t have to worry about it pulling out of the controller but if you yank it hard enough then it will slip out of the console.

How does the tension in the thumbsticks feel compared to the original Xbox 1 controller? More or Less firm?

The tension to me feels a little tighter than the average Xbox controller. You cannot adjust like the series 2 elite. I love how the tension rings makes it smooth as butter.

Is there a way to program the back paddles to other commands that aren't already programmed to other buttons on pc?

Don’t believe so. They simply remap button functions that already exist. They don’t add functions.
