## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these a 6" inseam?**
A: 6-inch inseam.

**Q: Is there real compression in these shorts or are they just form fitting?**
A: They are to me just form fitting

**Q: do they stay down on the thigh during use?**
A: They stay in place more or less. That is, they scootch up a little on the anterior side or the thigh; but, then, again, I cinch them up a little between my package/crotch area and top-medial thigh. They wear fine for my purpose, i.e. keeping all the stuff in place while I run/jog. The bummer is that after use, probably simple chemistry from sweat and body temperature, THEY SMELL LIKE AN INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT IN WEST VIRGINIA. The super-bummer is that that noxious odor adheres to your skin (the whole girdle region). So, whether you want to smell like that or not for nookie is one thing; remaining fact is you'll stink if you sit down for coffee after having heated them up and sweat. These could not have been user-tested, just a template from the eighties using contemporary versions of Spandex and Polyester. Return 'em if they stink. Notice that the product description does not indicate the social pariah we become.

**Q: are these single layer shorts?**
A: Yes, they are single layer shorts. However, I wear the under my athletic shorts.

    Impressive for us bigger guys

I'm a big guy that has recently lost 75 lbs. I have always had issues with larger sizes and the fits. These are truly perfect. I bought the 2x and was expecting them to fit, but to be too tight or to pinch, or to have the waist band roll. None of that happened. These fit perfectly all around. I have worn them to workout, and with some of my closer fitting jeans. No issues, and they stay cool as advertised. Even the crotch is well stitched, plenty of room for the stuff without pinching of leaving you hanging so to speak. I will update after I have used and washed these more to see if they lose any of the quality. So far so good.

    Great underwear for lifting.

These shorts are super comfortable. They allow complete, unrestricted freedom of movement along with just enough support. I can squat all the way down with no tightening or binding, and they keep "the boys" out of the way. They also breath well. They don't feel hot or sweaty.I wear them as underwear for weightlifting. Be aware that they are not meant to be worn by themselves. There is a ventilating mesh strip that goes along the inseam and crotch that makes them breath really well; but it would partly see-through if you were sitting cross-legged. If you throw some gym shorts on top, it's the perfect combo.I bought XL's by accident when the size chart said I should be in a large, but the XL's fit perfectly. My waist is 38 in, which the chart says is a Large. However, I have reasonably thick thighs and glutes; my legs are 28 inches at the upper thigh and I am 43 inches around my hips. So if you have a little meat on your legs, order a size up.

Good quality for the money, but kinda tight

I'm giving these 4 stars because of the quality vs price. I've been wearing Nike and Under Armor (UA) compression shorts, the same 10 pairs or so as underwear for years (some size medium, some large). Recently, I bought some new UA shorts size LG, and the waist band feels like it is trying to cut off the circulation to my legs. I've put on a little weight... But not THAT much (6ft 220lbs, size 36 waist). So I ordered a pair of the Nike's size LG, they kept the boys a little too snug and the thighs were much tighter than the UA (I have larger than average thighs so I'm used to that with most clothes I buy), but the waist band was a tiny bit better, but still painful after a while. So then I found these champion shorts for more than half the price, so I gave them shot. They feel just as quality, but the waist band was just as tight as the Nike's, but the thighs felt better. I decided to order a pair of the XL just to see if I liked them more... The shorts feel a bit looser, but not by much, I was hoping the waist band would be much looser (now beginning to kill my self confidence after finding the XL still feels too small lol). Today I gave in, swallowed my pride and ordered an XXL hoping that these will finally be the shorts that fit me. Maybe I just prefer them looser than most people, but the LG and XL would leave harsh red rings around my waist after wearing them all day, and I've never had these problems until I started ordering all these new ones... Again, I'm not in the best shape, but I'm not in terrible shape, so I don't see why I would have to order an XXL for someone my size. Anyways, if I were you, I would order 1 to 2 sizes larger than you think you need.Maybe someone here can correct me. Maybe a size 36 waist should be buying an XL or XXL? I don't mind them tight, but not so tight where they leave painful rings around my waist. And I realize they stretch out over time... Which is probably why I could wear a medium with no problem for years. Most days I resort back to wearing one of my pairs that are a few years old just to not deal with such a tight waist band. Hopefully these XXLs will be the right ones until I lose some weight.
