Portal Extra Large Quick Folding Tripod Stool with Backrest Fishing Camping Chair with Carry Strap

I have been searching for a portable chair/stool that is lightweight, folds up relatively small, and is comfortable to sit on for shorter periods of time…this quick folding tripod stool by Portal checks all those boxes! The stool opens up and also closes easily without any hassles and secures with the built in velcro straps. It is easy to transport this stool with the built-in carry strap, I simply sling it over my shoulder and I’m ready to go. Since it’s lightweight, carrying it on my shoulder is very.easy. This stool also has a small pouch and bottle holder which would work well for skinnier bottles by not my 32oz bottle which is wide at the bottom but that’s ok. I’m happy that the pouch is there to hold my cell phone or other small items like keys and such. I am 5ft 11in tall and weigh about 195lbs and this stool supports me very well, I’m not worried about it breaking even though it’s only rated to 225lbs. One thing I really like is that the seat height is 18” so it is much more comfortable to sit in than some small bag chairs that sit lower to the ground. So far I’m really happy with this stool, I use it at events where I need to get off my feet for maybe 30 minutes to an hour at a time and it works well for my needs. If I’m going to be sitting for longer periods of time then I’ll bring one of my big bag chairs but when I want a more compact and lightweight seat, this is the one I’ll use!

This chair is exactly what I was looking for. Something super light, takes up barely any space so that I can bring it along with me in almost any situation. I’m 5’2” and 150 lbs and find this chair very comfortable and sturdy. It folds up and opens very easily and has two velcro straps to make sure it’s securely closed. Also has a shoulder strap for easy travel. The little side pouch to hold a beverage is a very nice touch. Obviously not a chair you should get if you’re looking for something to sit back and relax in for hours at a time. But for something that travels easy, is very light and super easy to set up, this is perfect. Well worth the cost.

This is a very comfortable and light chair , I would buy it again.

At 265 lbs and 70 years of age I needed a portable chair that wasn’t too heavy to carry but would safely support me. This chair fit the bill. I own the Alps Mountaineer King Kong chair with four legs (instead of the three here) and it supports up to 800 pounds and is very comfortable. However it’s also as heavy as a gorilla to lug around. At nearly 15 pounds this three legged model is one third the weight at only slightly over four pounds. It’s a big difference and a delight to carry. Even with one hand! I can’t even comfortably lift the King Kong with one hand. Definitely something to consider. Now for performance. No, it’s not as comfortable to sit in as the bigger chair. But it does have a back which supports me perfectly. I can sit in it and be reasonably comfortable for an hour or so. For events such as camping you might want another more comfortable seat to sit in. All in all, if you’re a big guy and need something to hold you up for a reasonable amount of time you won’t find a better solution IMHO. I’m happy with my purchase for its intended purpose. Hope this helps.

Used, very good condition was in great shape with tags still on. I found the chair to be an excellent fit for me. 5’1 and easy to sit and get up from. The back is padded and is a plus. I will use it en plein air painting, fishing, and neighborhood cookout.

I love this chair! Super light and easy to bring around to sporting events and practices. Definitely beats sitting on the floor. Folds and unfolds with ease and store very nicely in my car. It’s strong, great material. Love that it even has a cup holder and a strap to carry it around. Great price and I’m very happy I purchased it!

love this chair, so sturdy and the back rest is great. I use it to paint outdoors

The back is not comfortable.

the chair is comfortable as it is sturdy, seems to be high quality :) I'm a happy sitter

My wife loves it. I can't sit in it as there are certain parts on me that don't work well with this style of chair. Not a man's chair lol
