I initially hesitated to buy smart lightbulbs because I doubted they would add much convenience, but I was wrong. Being able to control my lights from my phone has been a huge help, especially as a new mom. With my hands full and the baby asleep, I don’t have to get up and risk disturbing her—I can just use my phone. It’s been a great purchase.

I ordered two bulbs new on Amazon prime day 2021. They arrived a few days later. Upon opening the box I pulled the bulb box out and realized that they were refurbished? Please see picture. There was a sticker saying that these products had a second life and the sticker was upside down even not even put on the right way. So I thought dang I don't remember ordering refurbished light bulbs? Upon checking much later they are not refurbished light bulbs that I ordered they just sent me refurbished light bulbs instead of brand new ones. So now back to the story. I plug them into the lights that I bought them for. And turned the lights on. Right away there different colors. One is blaring bright white the other is almost a gold soft color. Okay I thought as long as I can change it I guess? Then I went into the Google home app which it says it's compatible with but you need the connector apparently on the plug? Which is very vague and took a lot of digging so apparently Google home app does not work with this product. I repeat Google home app does not work with this product unless you buy several other things. Upon realizing that I could not use the Google home app I had to download the C by GE app. After downloading the other app and signing up and sending my information and all of that stuff it is unable to connect to either of the light bulbs. Meaning the light bulbs do not work properly and do not have Wi-Fi capability or we're not fixed in the refurbishing process and do not connect to the app. Total waste of time total disappointment what a bummer. Wasted at least 3 hours trying to set these up. 3 hours of my life I will never get back. What a waste. And they send me refurbished ones and they couldn't even put the sticker on correctly. LOL I've about had it with amazon. My last three or four orders have been totally screwed up.

The brightness is very good, along with color setting and automation great for helping wake up in the morning! I bought it mostly out of curiosity and am now sold after owning for a few months.although the app is a little annoying because it often needs you to relogin and sometimes has trouble connecting to the light. (Although to be fair may be an android issue not easily fixed by GE). I wish it had a pc application as an option.Despite the connectivity flaws it is the best lightbulb ive ever had. The smart features are really cool and useful. I like setting it to dim warm at night and bright cool blue light to help wake up, rgb colors are also really fun. This product lives up to GE product quality of the past! 30 year old GE microwave still going strong.While there are many cheaper chinese knock offs i do not trust using their sketchy apps that might have spyware nor their quality control/policies. I've never had a garbage product from GE.

The product was easy to use and works as described.

They work, but the app is kind of a pain; often fails to promptly connect. And setting the lights to automatically brighten/dim by time of day doesn't work properly, at least if you use a switch to turn them on and off.

Product works very well where I placed them! I placed one in the back of the house sconce light and one inside my bedroom closet. One thing to remember you should program with Google hub before placement. Some hubs are far away from placement but once programmed its Great!

I love how I can easily adjust from softer to more vibrant daylight as need. There's also the mood change colors which will set the tempo for your Netflix & Chill company 😉.

Es un buen producto el cual puede funcionar con alexa y/o establecer horarios para enceder o apagar. Adicionalmente tiene escenas especiales para prendecer de colores especificos y con una secuencia especifica, para un momento especial.

El foco en sí es muy bueno, funciona sin problemas, se puede ajustar el brillo del 5% al 100%. El único inconveniente es que la instalación no es tan fácil, la app no es muy amigable como otras y si no se conecta por wifi al interruptor o al google assistant, se tiene que controlar por blutooth y siempre tarda en reconocer el dispositivo y poder controlarlo. Por otro lado, es el dispositivo más económico que he encontrado de este tipo (en oferta, menos de $200 MXP, así que vale la pena.

no se pueden enlazar a alexa, (aun y cuando se tenga una alexa con hub integrado) pues para eso necesitas una app “C by GE” que no existe en el app store de Mexico. Otras opciones: comprar un enchufe inteligente de la misma marca GE, pero es doble gasto y no queda claro si con eso bastará para darle una utilidad a estos focos. Tienen razón los otros comentarios negativos en este sentido.

El brillo de los focos es bueno. Sin embargo, la app para su uso no está disponible en iOS México, solo Android. El timer sí enciende los focos automáticamente pero no tiene la opción de apagar, se tiene que hacer manual con la app.
