406 Motor Head Maintenance Kit, A20093,Black

This is a great alternative to buying a new pump. Glad I bought this, pump is working like new again, simple to replace the parts and boom, back to filtering the water.

Motor Works great there’s no noise whatsoever. It does not leak and it’s a good quality. It fit into my filter with no problem as promised I would purchase it

The original ceramic impeller shaft of my 406 filter unit snapped in half. As a result, the impeller was making an INCESSANT rattling sound when running. This kit contained all the parts to restore the filter unit to perfect, silent operation. It took all of 5 minutes. I really like products that work well, are easy to install, and improve not only my quality of life, but that of my pets (in this case my fish) as well. This kit is all that. Totally recommended.

I've had my filter for about 10 years. For the last 4 it's been sitting in storage. When I went to use it again it kept rattling something awful! I researched what to do. I replaced these parts and the main o ring around the pump housing. When it is rattling it needs new parts. We were ready to throw the whole thing away because it was so frustrating trying to figure it out! I'd read that it's because it's sucking air in from somewhere. Once I replaced this part it has been quiet and I'm happy again! I never knew the impeller and rings needed replaced every so often. Worth it to not have to buy a whole new filter for hundreds of dollars! Fast shipping and products were packed nicely and protected.

I have purchased these a few times over the last 10 years to replace the worn-out ones in my filters. They make the filters run nearly silent again which is great. The price is a little much especially since all I usually want/need is the new impeller and/or ceramic shaft. It'd be nice if you could get just those for half as much. This time one of the two kits I got came with a broken fin on the impeller. The package was sealed and the pieces wasn't in there so it didn't break in shipping. I think it broke before it was packaged at the factory and it wasn't caught. I re-used my old plastic impeller and snapped it onto the new magnetic base and it worked but if I didn't have one I could re-use I'd have to replace it and I didn't have time to wait.

This is a great kit that has everything you need to maintain your fluval filter. I’m very pleased with the quality and fit along with the ease of installation.

Broken impeller

My filter was shot and I was worried about the replacement parts not fitting... I'm glad I took the risk, the filter runs like new and I didn't have to fork out $250 to get a whole new setup. Fluval is great to offer a perfect set of parts which they know are prone to wear.

The impeller was broken.

All original parts from fluval. Everything first well. Very well made. Installation was easy and quick. Now my filter works perfectly nice and Silence. Recommend this product.
