Reason: The groove that;s supposed to accommodate the tiny button on the battery holder upon opening the magnifier to position 1 (no light) is too long, it still "accomodates" in position 2 (light on). Circuitry is OK, as light comes on when the case is apart and you depress he battery holder. Also, one of the little guides on the battery holder broke off on the first time I put in batteries. Now the battery holder fllaps about.
