Fluids & Electrolytes Made Incredibly Easy

This was required for my patho/pharm class in nursing school. And I must say, it has been quite useful. The "Made Incredibly Easy" series find ways to narrate its contents to be entertaining as well as informative. It has jokes and one-liners throughout which definitely helps to keep my attention after hours and hours of studying. I enjoyed the illustrations and little side notes throughout the chapters also. Pictures are awesome. At the end of each section, there was a summary of the contents and review questions with rationales that made it, well... incredibly easy... to reflect on what you've just read. I don't think I would have purchased this book for a recreational or a light read. Even though it was required, it did help me in my class so I would recommend it.

This is the best book I have ever bough for nursing! Fluid and electrolytes was one of the hardest chapters to understand in class, but when I read this it made it way more easy to understand. Plus it has pictures and it has quiz sections. Awesome book!!! If I could, I would give it a 10star!! Also, got the book in great condition and on time.

I'm a nursing student currently on summer break and bought this book to help refresh my memory before fall classes start. This book is very easy to read, covers a lot of info in short chapters, and gives you tips on how to remember things, with a few review questions at the end of each chapter. The short chapters help you focus on one concept before you get too bored, and then you can set it down and pick up with something new. I'm not usually one to study over breaks but I know this information is important and I didn't want to lose the things I need to know, and I feel that this book has helped me retain more.

Very helpful book to supplement (not replace) my Medical-Surgical textbook. Really helps breakdown the complexity of this subject. I read it from cover to cover. I highly recommend as a supplemental text, because fluids & electrolytes are one of the more complex and confusing areas of study.

If this book is on your "supplemental" list, don't debate-- buy this book! I bought this book in addition to all the other books my program made me purchase and this is the only one I opened! My professor was big on going back and forth between "resources" and the 4-5 books they made you buy (at almost $450). This one was "supplemental" but it had everything we covered and were tested on. Nothing more, nothing less. I now own a 10.08lb $230 textbook that has never been cracked open as well as other books. Makes you wonder what all these authors are doing if all that information can be condensed in this compact, easy to read book that you will LEARN from. Best decision I ever made.

I am a current RN student and decided to purchase this book as a supplemental aid for medical surgical. I am GLAD I did because this book did not disappoint. It has been extremely helpful - simple to understand, very informative, & great for visual learners such as myself. I have probably used this book more than my actual assigned text book for F&E info. I would strongly recommend this book to RN/medical students or anyone who is learning about F&E.

This book got me through the legendary "fluid and electrolytes" test in nursing school. I loved it. It really helped me understand the complicated subject of electrolytes and the importance of keeping them balanced in the body. Our required text for the class was very confusing. Without this book I don't think I could have made it through.

I have just read a few chapters and have skimmed the book. I love it. My pathophysiology book was no help, and this book spells it out for you! Easy to read and has quizzes at the end of each section. I am recommending it to any nursing student who struggled with fluid and electrolytes, or acid base imbalance.
