Kuryakyn 6227 Premium ISO Handlebar Grips for Electronic Throttle Control: 2014-19 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, Chrome, 1 Pair

Thought I would write a more detailed review as I have seen some reviews that complained of the quick set up time with the supplied glue. Yes, the supplied glue does set up extremely fast. I have installed many sets of grips and these set up as expected, super fast (clutch side). The key is to dry fit and see where you want them and use a chalk pencil to mark where you want the grip to be once permanently installed. Mark the grip and the bar. Then pull off and add glue and slide on quickly while rotating. Once you stop moving it, it will instantly bond. These grips fill great in the hands and look great, another great product by Kuryakyn. If you have never installed grips before, I would suggest getting some help from someone who has. I installed these on a 2009 Road King Classic.

These grips have been road tested from Dallas to Seattle and back. Dallas to Sturgis and the Black Hills several times and in HOT, cold and heavy rain. If it was possible to give them SIX stars I would. Kuryakyn products are expected to be high end and these ISO grips do not disappoint. Money well spent here riders! Installation was very easy (2015 Harley Road Glide Special) for my throttle by wire. Prior bike was a Kawasaki Vaquero with standard throttle cables and that installation was also very easy. One thing for the clutch side ... I know they say to glue them on but I never have. Never had any slippage but able to turn them to match my hand position if necessary. (plus when I swap bars I don't have to worry about buying another clutch side replacement)

Cant go wrong with Kuryakyn grips have had these on all my Harley's and they are the most comfortable and always fit whatever bars well and they last.

Provided instructions are not complete. Be sure to read the service manual - you must wedge in a spacer on the brake-side lever before loosening everything up. Also, note that these are not round. There's that flat-ish bit on 2 sides where there's no rubber. This is important because (I believe) you really want to cushion your palms against the bar. If you don't align them properly, your palms would end up up against the flat/hard/chrome part.

I had the same set of grips in chrome on my previous bike. I just bought a 2019 Harley-Davidson Softail Heritage Classic 114, which is mostly blacked out. The Iso Grips with a Throttle Boss was the first mod I did on my new bike. They look AWESOME and help dampen vibrations and reduce riding fatigue. I primarily use the heel of my right hand for throttle control and only wrap the ring and pinky fingers around the grip, which allows me to ride with the index and middle fingers covering the brake lever. Since I'm not having to squeeze the grip my hand never gets tired, even on long rides. I highly recommend these grips and especially this Throttle Boss.

I recently sold my Fatboy and stepped up to a Ultra Limited. The stock grips were very narrow and my hands started to hurt when I rode. I've ran these grips on my previous 2 softails and went with them again on my Ultra. Huge change in comfort. This bike is a '18 with throttle by wire vs my past cable throttle bikes. Fitment was great and went on with ease. I use dry graphite powder for the throttle side on the bar surface itself. the clutch side grip I refuse to use the supplied super glue. I use an old dirtbike trick and spray the bar down heavily with high hold hair spray then slide your grip on and position it. Then give it a good 30 minutes to dry and I've never had a grip go loose on me.

Have these particular grips on several of my motorcycles. Other than one bike , I went cheap and a copy of these grips .. the copy’s are not nearly the same in quantity. Lesson learned
