The C.S. Lewis Bible pairs thought-provoking meditations from C.S. Lewis’s spiritual writings with corresponding passages from the authoritative NRSV Bible. This one-of-a-kind Bible for devotional reading, reflection, and inspiration is perfect for readers of Lewis’s Mere Christianity , The Screwtape Letters , or his other works of seminal Christian writing. Fans of Lewis’s widely-beloved allegorical fantasy series, the Chronicles of Narnia, will love this chance to engage with the author’s more deeply spiritual side after reading favorites like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader . Review: 5 Stars - I'll list the good and the bad, starting with the bad. The bad: The only thing I do not like is the color scheme and design on the cover. I bought the hardback version (mainly because I've never owned a hardback Bible) and was hoping that once I removed the dust cover there would be a blank book underneath. No such luck. There was the same horrible colors and design underneath on the book itself. Of course, someone might like it, but I'm very put off by it. I now wish I'd have gone with the leather-bound version. Now for the good: Inside the book it gets better--way better. The font style, design, and layout of this Bible are the best I've ever seen. Why they did not keep it that classy on the outside I'll never know. The book titles are stylishly written, not quite Celtic or Medieval, but just very tasteful with an old-world look and appeal; and there is ornamentation in various places on the pages. I'm not sure what to call it but I like it. The pages have plenty of blank space left on either side, as well as above and below the text. Many Bibles have the pages crammed and crowded, but this one seems to let the text breathe; it just makes it more appealing and readable to my eye. And the pages are so beautiful that for the first time in my life I hesitate to mark it up and make my own notes. Then there is Lewis sprinkled here and there. Never too much, but just about as many "notes" as I wanted and hoped to see. The publishers kept it to where you could reference Lewis if you wanted, or just choose to leave him out entirely for a given session in the Bible. There's a preface written by Douglas Gresham, and there is an informative Introduction and detailed notes to the reader by other Lewis scholars--all of which I found interesting and helpful. I've never owned an NRSV Bible before, but I'm enjoying the flow and feel of the translation. This is not C.S. Lewis "teaching you the Bible." If you're looking for a "Study Bible" where the scripture will be explained and broken down for you, this is not the route to take. But if you're interested in some of the thoughts of C.S. Lewis to go with your Bible reading, this is perfect. And if you're looking for something of quality, that is aesthetically pleasing, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything better, in my opinion. I will be spending a lot of time with my copy. Review: Love this Bible from the inside and out! - Love this Bible! I really think it is very neat to see how clever cs Lewis is with incorporating the Bible to his works and the insights on this Bible are so amazing especially if you are going through it for the first time!

Good bible
C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors so getting a bible with his notes is super nice. I use it for bible study and the paper holds us well with highlighters and ink pens.

Daughter loved it
My daughter had wanted this for a long time, but most sellers charge a ridiculous amount. This seller had a very fair price and the Bible was in good condition.

SO good!
This is by far the best Bible I have EVER purchased!! I'm already planning on giving it to friends, as it is just phenomenal. I never even knew how much of a C.S. Lewis fan I was until I started reading this version. The included letters and excerpts from relevant books are all very concise, wise and often mind-blowing. It doesn't read to you as a young child (as some versions tend to sometimes do) but is very rational, beautiful, and eye-opening. The passages added as a side-read are incredibly helpful and have me looking at the same Bible verses I've read for years, with new eyes. The C.S. Lewis Bible helps make the Bible new, exciting, and very relevant for those who feel they don't connect well or understand the Bible as well as they should. Would highly recommend to ANYONE, no matter how comfortable (or absent) they feel from the Word.

Thoughts of C.S.Lewis amid the Scriptures
This is a new idea for presentation with Scripture and a good one. This is not a commentary on verses at the bottom of each page. It is a block of C.S. Lewis' thought positioned on a page of Scripture. It is something to read and think about from the mind of a great thinker and writer. It will sometimes make you read it a second and third time and then ponder it. I have many editions of the Bible but no others like this. I am combining this with also reading the volumes A Year with C.S. Lewis and the one harking back to the Narnia Chronicles called A Year with Aslan. Makes a good combination.

The New Cover is Gorgeous
I originally purchased this Bible on Kindle because the old book design wasn’t very appealing. This new design is beautiful, with a simple monochrome scheme contrasting with ornate retro decorations. It’s a fairly large book but surprisingly thin compared to other full-size hardback Bibles and relatively lightweight, too. I want more books like this! But the contents are the most important thing, and this is still one of my favorites. I’d consider it a devotional Bible, superbly edited and laid out. I highly recommend it.

One of my favorite Bibles
This is my go-to Bible for when I want to look up something quickly. I keep it on my desk. The print is easy to read and I like the hardback feel for quick reference vs flimsy leather or soft Bibles. Plus, for whats essentially a study Bible, it's easy to read, not too busy, and the extra parts are well written but don't distract from the actual Biblical text.

C.S.ルイスの助けを得て聖書を読む
聖書本文はNRSV(New Revised Standard Version)。

Bible is great, Bit the product is not.
The Bible is a great asset. A travel with CS Lewis through the Bible is a great experience. But the Bible is missing markers. This is bad. Not even a single marker.
