Absolutely worth the price and essential to any surface pro purchase.
I will say first off, I am no techno guru by any means. I just wanted to protect this Surface Pro because I expect it to last several years. It felt too thin and slippery with nothing, even when I had a keyboard attached. Inside the box there was a plastic bag holding the cover for the Surface pro, then the cover for the kick stand. There was a piece of paper that showed how to attach. It said if you have any questions watch a video on Amazon where you purchased it. I of course thought I don't need that lol. The kick stand cover is best installed when you slide it on and then it will slide into place with a click when the end of the tabs on the piece reach the edge of the kickstand. Then look to see which side of the cover has the wholes cut out for USB etc. With your kickstand extended, slide it in to place. The corners the did have to push down gently to get them to pop in to place. If you want to attach a keyboard, now is the time to do so. There is nothing obstructing the area where the keyboard slips into place. If you attach a keyboard, when you put it in the closed position there is a little rubber sleeve that goes over the corner and keeps the keyboard next to your screen to protect it. If you choose not to use a keyboard you might want to consider the tempered glass to put on the front of your surface pro. This is an expensive piece of equipment that will last for several years, if taken care of. I love that the cover holds my pen in place, as I feared loosing it. It is such an amazing addition to the pro, and so much can be done with it. My original keyboard had a problem in the mouse area so I returned it. However the way it is made with the area to fold over to the front of the machine, makes the keyboard feel floppy and not very secure. Honestly I feel the best option is to go with a bluetooth keyboard if you want one. However there is a quite adequate keyboard when it is in tablet mode. Easy to lay down in your lap and type or text. After seeing a few options I feel like I will rarely use my keyboard. As far as color names are concerned, I believe this is the one failure. I fully understand the consistency with what Microsoft calls the colors for the keyboard pens, and mouse. I however would in no way consider that a cobalt blue. Which is on the edge of the spectrum between blue and purple. This is more of a dark teal in my opinion. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and feel like my machine is much better protected now. Very light weight. I would recommend that anyone who purchases the surface pro should pick one up to protect your investment.

Fits perfectly!
It is sturdy, relatively light weight and does the job. What more can we ask?

Good so far
I like the look of this. It’s slim but seems pretty good quality. There is this weird compression discoloration where the hinges of my tablet are… not sure if the case pushes on itself when the tablet stand is open. Overall good so far tho

Great case
Fits well and can access the ports as needed. The power cord has to fit cord down, so just be aware.

Will NOT work with Surface Pro 7 Dock
I decided on this case since the blue version matches my old blue keyboard cover (which is not available for the new Surface Pro 7.) I'm returning the case which is too bad - I really liked it! The first problem was the keyboard would not connect and work with the new case. I had to take the case off, put the keyboard cover on first, then put the case on. Then the keyboard worked, but it won't be something I can take on or off, it would have to stay on. Then the deal-breaker- the surface dock connector WILL NOT CONNECT. I tried and tried and it simply will not connect with this case on - the case must be a little to thick or something. The case fit nicely and looks great, but because of these connection issues it won't work for me.

Very durable
The case is very durable and protects the most sensitive/vulnerable parts of my surface pro.

classic example of getting what you paid for
This accessory fits as it should for my surface pro 6, allows access to keypad and contains a pen holder that stores the pen more successfully than the magnetic strip on the side does. It’s also very close in color scheme. Only downside is that you lose some angle flexibility in the kickstand but not enough for me to give it 5 stars. Good job manufacturing.
