Surgical Steel 4mm Ear piercing Earrings studs 12 pair Mixed Colors White Metal by Caflon, Glass and Surgical Steel

I can't wear what is called 'fashion earrings' my ears get raw and sore after a couple hours. Even ones that are supposed to be hypoallergenic, I react to what ever the earring front is made of. I can wear these because they are all steel. Because they're made for piercing and have to be in the ear for months they are made really well. The large backs don't dig into my ears. In fashion earrings the backs are sometimes small and sharp and don't stay on. I find thicker posts to be more comfortable and they keep my holes large enough to make the easy to see for my old eyes. I prefer bezels over prong set because the stones stay bright. I have 9 piercings in each ear. Clusters of these 4mm and the 3mm look really cute. I'm wearing all yellow topaz colored ones because I can't wait for fall to get here. The colors are bright and sparkly. A bonus is a set of 12 pairs of these costs less than 12 of those itchy fashion earrings. These are 16 guage earrings. If you got pierced at Claire's, those are 20 guage. It's best to wait a year for lobes and 2 years or longer for cartilage before bumping them up to 16 guage. I saw some reviews that showed pictures of earrings in baggies and and a separate baggies of cheap dodgy looking backs. Those are not Caflon, they are not sterile. Send them back!

I am not a fan of yellow gold earrings or jewelry so these are perfect. They do not irate my ears as I am allergic to nickle and these are surgical steel. I love the fact that they lock on so I'm not looking for earrings that have come undone during the night. They are safe for babies and young children as they can not remove the backs and put them in their mouths. I can sleep with these on. They do not irate my ears. I do not use peroxide or rubbing alcohol to clean them. I use only the solution that u can buy for newly pierced ears. I can once again wear pretty colorful earrings in the metal color that I like. I could only get the diamond, green, and gold colored stones at Sally's Beauty Supply store and they are much more expensive per pair. This is a great bargain!! Remember to unlock them from your ears u must grab a hold of the front of your earring with one hand and with your other hand grab a hold of the earring back. Pull forward with the front of earring and pull off back at the same time. like this <---> So in other words u are pulling in two different directions. They then pop off effortlessly. Try it first before putting in your ear and u will see how easy this is to do. Posts are slightly thicker than regular posts so they are great for newly pierced ears or forming great even sized holes while your ears heal. Or like I do and just wear them for everyday earrings as with so many colors u can easily match them to whatever u are wearing.

These were an Excellent value - no sensitivity, cute and versatile. Both my daughter and I were experiencing some sensitivity to other earrings (I had sensitivity even to my white gold earrings if I had not worn them in a while.) So I wanted to see how we did with surgical steel studs. We are not having any sensitivity to these. They are cute and small (true to their description 4mm) - perfect for nighttime or everyday casual wear. Having multiple colors is really nice. I thought I would not be comfortable in these unless I took the modest point off the end, but they are very comfortable for me. Even when sleeping I do not notice the point. I priced out surgical steel earrings and for the price I wouldn't hesitate if you are looking for a variety of surgical steel earrings for a great price. As other reviewers had noted, these come in sterilized packs for ear piercing, but we just took them out and used them as earrings.

I read review after review of all sorts of earrings for my 1 yr old and 2 1/2 yr old daughters. I came across this set and decided to give them a try. I am extremely happy I did! They are perfect! The post are thicker but that’s ok because they match the thick post of the gold ball earrings they got their ears pierced with at the drs office. And the backs stay! I’m thrilled about that because my youngest daughters earrings were not staying on and it wasn’t due to her playing with them they just were defective. But I love these they sparkle and look pretty and even I can wear them however I must have thicker ear lobes because they are a bit snug. That could also be due to having to push it through a closing hole and now they are puffy and sensitive. But these don’t hurt my holes that weren’t closed. Overall these were an amazing buy! Highly recommend these! I bought the gold pairs and the silver colored pairs.

This is an awesome set of 12 piercing earrings, with 12 different colors for the birthstone months. They are 16g in size, so they are bigger posts than the usual 20g size most earrings are. However, I have found they are perfect for my helix piercing that seems to prefer the thicker posts as it heals…and beyond. The quality is excellent! They arrived safely, in sterile condition, without any problems. They are just like Studex piercing studs. The clasps/backs can be a tighter fit, but if you are simply wearing them (not piercing with them), you can work the clasps a bit before using the earring to get them coming off easier. No complaints here at all! Love them! 4mm and sparkle! Price was amazing! Awesome!!

These are roughly 16 gauge and great for keeping in for a long time. I am Autistic & like wearing earrings from time to time but often forget so when I want to wear them I have to re-pierce them & I have 5 holes in my ear. These are small and light enough I can keep in. The backs didn’t bother my ears until I laid down and they were pressed against my ear. I swapped out the backs with silicone ones and have no issues. My ears are super sensitive and if there is nickel in them my ears get inflamed really fast. The Backs appear to be steel and are magnetic but maybe it was the shape that bothered my ear. Anyway, these are a good deal and something I can keep in until I want to wear something fancier. Totally recommend!

First off I want to say I love them and am very happy with the purchase. I got the 4mm in stainless set. I can even see buying the gold 4mm set as well in the future. The colors are lovely and the stones are large enough to really show the color. The packaging was small sterile piercing packs so if you are using them to actually pierce your or somebody 's ears then that might matter to you. I didn't get these for piercing, only for my own use as regular earrings. These have large posts and I knew that from other reviews before buying. I have ears that want to close up fairly fast so that didn't bug me. I actually wanted the larger posts to help stretch my tiny holes just a bit. However they are large posts and that might be a problem for some. For those unfamiliar gauge numbers, they get smaller as the size gets bigger. I used a caliper to measure the earrings I was pierced with and those are a 20 gauge. 18 to 20 gauge are typically used for most regular earrings. These measure out very close to a 16 gauge. Perhaps just a bit smaller like a 17 gauge? They are a bit tight for me going in and probably will be for most people who don't have their ear piercings stretched. They will fit but just be aware that it is bigger then most posts. These earring posts are just big enough to cause me a touch of discomfort and a speck of blood from getting them in. I am hoping to get my holes to this size because my ears just want to close. The only other thing I feel I should mention is that the posts seem to be the same actual length as most of my other earrings however...These earrings don't fit like others because of the thicker posts. It feels shorter on the ear. Now I have fairly thin earlobes and these do feel fine but because of the thicker post the post feels shorter as well. Like I said its pretty much the same length post as almost all the others I have. It just feels shorter. Here is my take on these. If you have thick earlobes these probably won't work for you. If you have tiny holes then these might feel uncomfortable going in. Even cause a touch of bleeding. If you have holes that are a bit stretched already then these might fit better then regular 18 or 20gauge. If you have have tiny holes that want to close up fast then these might give you the right amount of stretch to your holes to open them up a bit but keep in mind you should treat your ears as re-pierced for awhile till they have a chance to get used to being this size.

Well, I broke down and bought these for myself because I needed some earrings I can keep in my ears without getting an infection. I have no issues with what they look like, and at first, I thought I would dislike the backings. However, the backings are very, very secure and do not leave the post sticking out to press into my skin. For the most part, the gems seem secure, though I do have at least one earring that has a loose stone that rattles a bit, though it does seem like it won't actually fall out. The January and February stones are so dark it is difficult to tell them apart, but over all, the colors are fine and everything looks solid. Now here is my problem with these earrings. I'm not experienced with piercings and sizes; I only have my first and second lobes pierced. I had them pierced a long time ago when I was 10 and 12 years old. Since then, I've been accustomed to what I am sure is 18 gauge earrings, which i thought was the standard size for piercing. This is the problem with these studs, though. When I got the earrings in the mail, I opened them and noticed that the posts were thicker than what I am used to seeing in earrings. At first, i thought maybe it was just the plastic casings around the earrings that made it seem that way, so I opened one pair. The posts were noticeably thicker than any of my other stud earrings that I can no longer wear due to allergies. I shrugged it off and tried to put the earrings in my ears and noticed it was hurting; the posts were stretching my earring holes. I asked the seller about the gauge size, but they only told me that it is the standard size for piercing and that all their earrings are the same size and that they do not gauge them. The seller was unhelpful in the messages I sent, so now I am stuck with 12 sets of earrings that I can't wear. I am still unsure about gauges, but I think they might be closer to 14 gauge, in case anyone is wondering. Oh, and they are very difficult to unclasp after you put the backing on. I was worried that I might have to go to a hospital or some piercing place to get it removed. Luckily, my mother was able to pull it hard enough to get them out, but it really hurt.
