Some people complained that the metal pins are too small for the leg holes, so they had to use screws and washers. If they had paid attention to the instructions, they would have seen that they needed to put the plastic posts through the leg hole first, then into the wall, and the pin into the post. Others complained that the top of the leg holding the shelf was insecure, and only grips the shelf from the top, causing the shelf to fall if too much weight is put on the front of the shelf. Again, if they had paid attention to the instructions, they would have seen that they needed to put the top of the leg directly under one of the front-to-back wires, not between them. So I used a different bracket to "anchor" the back to the wall, but other than that I still used the regular arm brackets that came with it because the holes were plenty big enough to put concrete screws through. They hold up well and are relatively cheap compared to other shelving (wall shelves, floating shelves, etc). I've used them in other places in my house, I live by them in closets because they are convenient in hanging things in conjunction with putting things on the shelves themselves. Im looking to use these for my pantry and may have 20lb appliances on them.** A: I don't know the weight limit (you might check with manufacturer) but I would be comfortable with 20 pounds placed over at least one of the support brackets. You might also want to consider additional support brackets, available at most hardware stores. **Q: Can this be used with the ShelfTrack system (using the shelftracksystem brackets)--as I need a 2' shelf for that sytem?** A: I doubt it. **Q: Anyone else have the problem the the wire shelf is too thick for the brackets provided?** A: I had no problems with fit...all the hardware fit the shelving perfectly. Be sure the brackets are straddling the weave of the shelving, and give the brackets a little downward pressure to snap them into place. It feels sturdy, and it was easy to assemble. The only downfall is the nails that get hammered into the bottom pieces don’t fit. There too small for the hole.
