Thanks for asking! My best answer is, it depends. The 3M adhesive strip is VERY strong, and will stick to almost anything. If the stone is sheer and not easily eroded, you can clean and dry it and expect it to stick for as long as you desire. Indoor or outdoors. The question with stone is 1) Is it sandy, and 2) will it erode out from under the adhesive. We do not have many reports of people sticking it to stone, but we like your chances with milled stone and dry, intact stone where you have sufficient points of contact with the adhesive stripping. I hope this helps! **Q: How big is this? What are the dimensions?** A: It is precisely 3.06" X 2.85" and the standard depth (thickness) of a manufacturers 3D car emblem. You can replace your existing car emblem with this one and it will look like it was made for the car, or it will compliment most vehicles existing emblems nicely. **Q: How would it be removed without harming car's paint?** A: There are a number of ways to remove the OM symbol without harming the cars paint. We have even experimented by pulling it off by hand, and with some decent strength, and a soft cloth in hand, it works. The best way we know of is to use leverage. We use a stiff plastic spatula. Wedge it under the symbol and propped it up. You can slowly scoop it up like a pancake. Of course, you are dealing with a powerful adhesive, so you will need to be a little patient, and then you will probly need to pick off, or clean off, the remaining adhesive. It will yield slowly, but you can peel it up. If you are very careful, you can remove it without a scratch. If the edge of the spatula (or whatever you use for leverage) is smooth, you are less likely to scratch the clear coat of the car. Do not use metal devices to pull off the symbol.... Please keep in mind that it is best if the symbol is fixed to a place where the paint is still factory, or if there has been body work, you really trust the paint job done in repair. Most repaired surfaces are done well, professionally. If there is minor scratching to the clear coat (the paint should never suffer scratches), you can make these subtle scratches disappear using an acrylic fill-in glaze. Because the entire surface of this item is covered in chrome, and because plated metal will corrode over time, the Yoga saves product is MUCH less likely to chip and crack. There is no reason why (with normal use and washings) this emblem will not last longer than the much more expensive metal emblems, and maintain it's brilliance. So, it is not metal, it is closer to plastic.
