Stray cat life saver and you can’t beat the customer service!!
After Walter a stray cat we had been feeding showed up with some serious injuries we knew that slowly gaining his trust was not an option. After reading up on all my live trap options I decided to go with this one and I’m so happy I did. Despite shipping showing a 1-2 week timeframe I wasn’t able to find anything comparable I could get any faster so I went ahead and bought it and wrote to the seller telling them of our time sensitive situation with Walter. Much to my surprise they not only responded quickly and with empathy but they managed to ship it out before their weekend which resulted in me getting it in days rather than weeks. It arrived on my doorstep and within in hour I had it set up and surprisingly managed to catch him within 30 mins of initial set up. It was easy to use and was also very quiet so he only jumped a little rather than down right panic. Now that I have him caught I can get him the medical attention he needs and deserves. I can’t thank you guys enough for helping me save Walter and for making such an amazing life saving trap. I would 100% recommend this product and seller! Such great customer service is rare these days but so greatly appreciated!! Update: two years later and this trap has helped us save so many feral and stray cats lives. We have used it to catch several injured and sick cats so we could get them to our vet for treatment. It’s also helped us get the feral cats in through our local rescues to be fixed, vaccinated and then released back to their original location so they are at lower risk of spreading disease and adding to the over population problem. We used it to trap 3 semi feral kittens that were running around a Safeway parking lot and they are now loving life as part of our Crew of rescues. It’s been out in the weather but it’s held up impressively well. I do not leave it out in the elements except when trapping and I clean it up between every use and it looks almost new despite being pretty heavily used. 100% recommend this product and company. I included some pictures of just a fraction of the lives we were able to save. Most of these cats were feral cats or abandoned stray cats that would not let us get close and would take off if we so much as stepped out the door. So this really was essential to being so successful and impactful on the homeless cats in our area.

Best cat trap ever!
For TNR, this trap seems to be less sus for stray, lost and feral cat catching. Love that it opens from front and rear making it easier to place bait/food. You may be asking, "This is a large trap! What if I catch an opossum or a fox or raccoon?" Yes. This is a distinct possibility with a larger trap like this and probably more likely. That's the chance we take. Look, I had a VERY angry, scary raccoon caught once in this brand of traps and it held up with zero damage. Trap's integrity wasn't compromised one bit. This is my 4th fat cat trap because I'm certified crazy cat lady and try to trap multiple cats (lord help me). I had a Havahart trap that was destroyed by a lunatic raccoon from the inside out (still hoping that big gal didn't injure herself escaping). Never once has this happened with this brand. BUT stray/feral cats don't seem as suspicious of it as they do the smaller ones in my experience. This is a high end trap and I highly recommend it for cat TNR (even with the accidental raccoon captures). The fat cat trap is a top of the line trap and has been way more effective for trapping and TNR of cats (even with the occasional and accidental psychotic raccoon capture). I usually keep a live cam on the trap and check it every couple of hours (every hour in these Minnesota winters) so whatever gets trapped doesn't hurt itself trying to escape. Nothing can escape this trap, though so ya gotta be vigilant! Here's Randy, a super feral boy who was trapped, neutered and accepted to furball feral cat sanctuary. He was trapped almost instantly in this one and would never go into the smaller one. Randy is thriving now! 5 stars.

Absolutely BEST Cat Trap Ever Made!
This trap was easy to set. I did practice setting the door over and over again to make sure it would close when I was ready to catch feral cat. Watched videos from people that actually know how to use this Fat Cat cage and the proper way to prepare it inside and outside; ie, lining with newspaper, where to put food, covering with blanket a certain way, checking cage FREQUENTLY as to not leave animal in their longer than necessary!! This is a very humane cage, excellent construction, easy to use. It does not slam shut like the ones you get at any of the Box Stores. Yes, those are much less expensive, BUT, this is quieter when door comes down...well worth the money! BUY IT! Was going to get the smaller of the 2 choices from this company, but the cat I was rescuing was a big cat. The smaller one would be better for kittens. I cannot say enough good things about this cat trap! Best news is he got caught with no problem, got him fixed and now he has a good home!

Safe Trap
The trap worked perfectly. I like the springless system and the larger size.

LOVE THIS TRAP
This is the mother of all traps! LOVE the two doors. If you do TNR, a two door trap is essential when you want to transfer a feral cat to a larger crate for surgery recovery. But with this Fat Cat version, you can also let them recover in this trap as it is wide and tall enough to allow a little room for comfort, plus a small litter box and food dish. With the slide-up door, it's safe and easy to use a grabber tool to take things in and out of the trap while your feral kitty recovers. And it makes transferring from a drop trap to this trap a breeze with the slide up opening. I do wish they had a fork divider specifically made for this trap though, I haven't found one.

Wonderful
Works so well. Trapped a feral cat in one try without loud sounds. I was able to tame the feral cat. Thank you. Highly suggest this trap!

Easy To Use, Catch & Release Cats
The trap arrive already assembled and ready to go; I got the fat cat model because a couple of our ferals are real chonkers. It is good quality and put together well. Ridiculously simple to set up and you can adjust the pressure of the trip mechanism so that it handles both light and heavy animals. The thing I like most about this are the sliding doors on both ends. It's so much easier to transfer an animal into a carrier without having to take them out by hand and risk getting bitten or the animal getting away. The door drops closed far more quietly than other traps that are spring-loaded, which is less traumatizing for the cat. A spring-loaded door can really hurt a cat if it closes on its tail, but with this trap there isn't that danger. The metal cage has a coating on it that helps resist rusting, and is also a little easier claws or teeth. If you are a looking for a quality trap then this is the one!

Easy trap to use, hard on opossum jaws
I spent a month trying to trap a specific opossum with a degloving injury for a wildlife rescue center using this trap. I caught four different opossums, three raccoons (one I trapped 4 times), and my feral cat friend that was the reason there was a dish attracting these animals. Very easy trap to use, but I must warn that opossums often injure their jaws trying to chew out. The spacing on the end is wider and they can get their teeth and jaw wedged in very quickly. This opossum needed to go to the rescue for treatment before I could finally trap my intended target. The rescue has had 11 opossums come in with this jaw injury from traps in just a few short months. So, know what animal you want to use this for first. If you get the trap, I recommend getting two of the dividers. I had only one and it would have been more useful to have a second to help scoot and contain the animal back to the section with the bars closer together where there is less of a chance for the jaw injury. I had the small divider which is useless dropping it through the top because it can't reach the bottom and only swings. You must use the divider through the SIDE of this trap to reach the distance to hold it in place. I recommend additional carabiner clips as the trap only comes with one. I needed additional to keep the trap secure when transporting the animal to the rescue. If the trap overturns while driving, for example, the trapping end will come open and you'll likely have an animal to deal with. Just an observation based on design. Sturdy gloves are helpful. I had some friendly raccoons that I released, and one particularly terrifying one. You release them from the guillotine end and you want gloves to protect your hands as you reach for the handle. Regarding the photos, the opossum has his jaw and teeth wedged in the bars in the first picture and in the second from a different angle. The third was when we took him to the rescue. You can more easily see the difference in the bar widths in the different halves of the trap. The fourth photo was the target opossum that I finally got to the rescue. He already had the facial injury. He did injure his snout, however, in the trap trying to get out. Bonus fifth photo of one of the raccoons that I trapped and released. The trap is five stars, but I subtracted one star based on my experience and that of others with Opossums specifically.
