Too little moisture content and the kernel won't pop. Too little starch and the popped kernel won't be as big. My wife and I love popcorn. It's one of those treats that are lower in calories than others and we find that a 1/4 cup of kernels translates to a big tub of popcorn. After popping we sprinkle canderel on it which makes it sweet but slimming. We use the stove top with a large pan and 2 tbsp of corn oil. Lovely taste, quick and easy. Used Tesco East End popcorn in the past but this is better. Good value, ease of use, great taste. I am a skilled electrical mechanical engineer by profession and was an on screen expert for BBC Watchdog and Rogue Traders for some years and subsequently sworn to honesty. I tend to research a product drilling down into the quality and value of the item before I buy. I am not paid for my reviews and have no personal gain from them. I have no difficulty recommending this item. What's not to like. Go buy!

Not sure if it’s the popcorn machine or the kernels but there’s always a lot unpopped. I’m going to reduce the amount and see if it helps but I’m concerned about how much this wastes. The popped corn is great and it’s my hack for trying to stop snacking on negative type foods. Will report back but I’m pleased with the taste and texture.
