I bought Red, White and Black versions of Lichamp electrical tape. After using it for a few months, I'm ready to venture my opinion. For years, I've been looking for a less expensive electrical tape to equal Scotch 33+, which has long ago earned top quality billing. I believe it is the best, but it's expensive. Lichamp tape has excellent elasticity and is highly conformable - the best I've seen other than Scotch 33+. The adhesive is strong, and there is plenty of it. Unfortunately, the adhesive is a little slimy - some stays behind on your fingers, but wipes off easily enough. So far, the connections I've taped up have stayed put. There is no tendency to unwind, as many cheap vinyl tapes do. Time will tell how it stands up to heat, cold, sun and weather - or to dirt and oil under the hood. At half the price of Scotch 33+, this is worth a try.

A long time ago, electricians tape seemed to be good quality regardless of where purchased. As production moved overseas and cost cutting became the norm, good quality tape became almost impossible to find outside of professional and expensive supply houses. (one starts with a G..) They have good tape but it costs. This tape is excellent quality and affordable. I have used it for two months with no sign of any problem with adhesion or insulation. Finally...... something I can trust AND afford.

I am far from an electrician but I would consider myself a fairly capable DIYer. I use electrical tape for a wide variety of things. Ranging from making a make shift water resistant bandage for a small cut (I am also not a doctor so please consult your doctor to see if they would recommend doing this). To using it for its intended purpose of electrical work. This tape for the price is awesome! Its wide but not to wide. Its sticky but not so sticky that it turns into a sticky mess. Its thick but not so thick that you need a lightsaber to cut it. It's tough but not so tough that you need to Hulk out to tear it. It's like the perfect electrical tape if something like that existed. I am sure someone will commit on how such and such tape is the best of the best at 15 bucks a roll! Well this tape works just fine for me and it only cost me $1.50 per roll!!!!
