Restaurant style consistency
If youโve ever eaten at Dennyโs and have had their ranch or old spaghetti factory with their dressing, itโs more of a thinner consistency, but very flavorful. This is that. I used heavy cream watered down a bit to more of a milk consistency and it turned out just like the restaurant style. Not super thick but a little on the thinner side. Would definitely purchase this again.

The original dip! The only one to purchase!
This is the original hidden Valley Ranch mix. This is the one you had buttermilk to and the flavor mix is amazing. I think itโs much better than the one that you add regular milk to. I canโt say enough good things about the mix. Itโs easy to mix up and have on hand. I use this with the sour cream for a chip dip or vegetable dip. I use this for all the recipes instead of the other mix that they have because I find it versatile and much more flavorful!

just get it
I just tried this for the first time and Iโm very impressed. I started with about 2/3 cup of buttermilk when mixing it, then added just a little more at the end (probably about a tablespoon) until it reached the exact consistency and flavor I liked. It was super easy to adjust, and I love that you can control the thickness instead of being stuck with whatever comes in a bottle. For comparison, Iโve used the Hidden Valley bottled ranch many times, and there is a very clear difference โ mostly in texture, but also in flavor. The bottled version is thicker and more uniform, but this packet mix has that distinct restaurant-style taste that Iโve always associated with truly good, homemade ranch. Itโs the kind you get at restaurants that just hits differently โ fresh, balanced, and way more flavorful. Iโve been searching for a bottled ranch that tastes like that and could never quite find it. This mix finally delivers that classic, incredible restaurant ranch flavor Iโve been looking for. I honestly donโt think Iโll be able to go back to the bottled version after this. If you love restaurant-style ranch, this is absolutely worth trying.

Good seller, bad delivery by Amazon.
The seller sent me the correct amount of intact product, but Amazon delivery took way too long, and the delivery came in 2 different shipments. This has been happening a lot, lately. What's going on with the Amazon delivery that services my area?

This is great, don't believe the reviews from people who didn't know what they were buying.
This is the "restaurant style" ranch dressing. It is *thin,* not a thick disgusting jelly like the "regular" version from Hidden Valley...or every other bottled ranch. The regular Hidden Valley mix might as well be a dip. They do have a "dip" version, which I assume is even thicker, and that scares me. Never tried it. I grew up in Montana, and after traveling and living in many parts of the country over the last 30 years I've learned that (I don't know why) the ranch dressing in the northwestern US is better than there rest of the country. Maybe that has to do with what food distribution companies operate in the region. Anyway, I know the difference between good ranch and bad ranch. This is as good as you are going to get in a mix. If you moved from a "good ranch" region of the US and now live in a "bad ranch" region...you've been saved, buy this. I don't care how much it costs, you can't put a price on good ranch. If you follow the instructions it's actually too thin...watery. Good ranch should flow like syrup; thin enough to spread out into the salad, but thick enough you don't end up with a pool on your plate. I recommend reducing the amount of liquid to 2/3 cup and then adding more if you want it. This restaurant version DOES NOT continue to thicken after you mix it like the regular mix. If you like good ranch dressing, this is the one for you. If you like gross ranch dressing, buy something else.

Almost as good as restaurant ranch
Almost as good as restaurant ranch. Just as good or better than bottled Hidden Valley.

The OG salad dressing is still the bomb!
I've always loved making my own Ranch at home using the Hidden Valley seasoning mix. I've bought this product 100s of times over the years. I almost always have a bottle made up of it at all times in the fridge. Ranch goes with so many different things that I don't think I have the room to list all of them. Pizza, love it on pizza, my fav application of Ranch! My mom used to make our Ranch and Thousand Island dressing from scratch, a skill she learned working at a ritzy diner in Carmel, CA circa 1940-1950. So, I'm very picky about how my dressing tastes.....cuz you KNOW it's not going to taste like mom's! Now that Mom is gone and my bros tossed all her recipe books (I just about cried, she had books going back to the 40's} So, I have sampled the restaurants in town for who has the best Ranch and Thousand Island. Sadly, my list of restaurants is very short and I'm from a town in NV where you can't toss a stone without hitting a restaurant.....psssst, if they make it to the same recipe all over the US, Denny's has some tasty Ranch but their Thousand Island is YUCK .
