I first found Mutti products in a Manhattan store, and they were just ultra fresh, clean, well packaged, and of the highest quality. What a delight it was to find that Amazon carries many of the same items -- at a lower price! I signed up for the subscription service for this product because I make my own homemade pasta and pizza sauce, and wanted to pack as much flavor and deep, rich color into my sauces as possible.Mutti Doppio Concentrato Di Pomodoro (tomato paste) in a pack of 12 can be used fairly quickly in my household, and I want to keep some on hand at all times. I appreciate the people who make and can this product, as well as Amazon for making it available to me at a good price. My family eats our pasta with really good flavor now -- better than ever -- because of you!

Yes, this tomato paste might be a bit pricey but oh soooo worth it.... especially if you're into vodka sauce.... priceless! Highly recommend. No American-made tomato paste comes even close.

I don't think I've tried them ALL, but certainly a vast amount of tomato pastes have been consumed. This is by far the best I have tasted. Such flavor. Such viscosity, without being that very thick, almost solid piece of tomato product. Not sure if this is weird, but when using this in a recipe, I will eat a teaspoonful or two. Spread it on bread when making a salami or pepperoni sandwich. Add a dollop in soups, stews, or sauces. Try it, you'll like it.

As italian I can say, Mutti is great. No doubts on the quality of the product.However, when I received them there was mould on top of a can underneath the wrapping.Not just a bit but like a 4mm thick layer.

This is beautiful stuff and a chef's secret! Provides some concentrated tomato chemistry in a very fresh tasting and bright red double paste. This looks and tastes like concentrated tomatoes, not like paste that resembles the stuff on the threads of the ketchup bottle. Mix a can of this with some water and seasoning for a beautiful sauce by itself. Like other Mutti products I've tried, this is a cut above the rest in terms of the purity and quality of tomato flavor. Just superb products from Mutti and this double paste is no exception.
