Prepare for Battle
I’ll start by saying that I’ve bought a lot of stuff off of amazon, but this is my first review. Here’s to hoping you find it informative and entertaining. The thing comes out of the box with clear instructions and no fuss getting it going. Just plug it into the wall and select one of the three settings. Green/Low Mode=no audible noise. Blue/Medium Mode=no audible noise. Red/High Mode=screeching terror for humans, pets, and pests alike. Results: I used it to try and get rid of what was, in my estimation, about 20-30 insect eating bats that were in the ceiling of my vintage 1960s single-wide. Before I plugged it in, you could hear the hive rustling about and using their echo-location voices. Prior to purchase/installation, at the rate of about 1/week, I had bats enter my living room for a no-holds-barred showdown for dominance. Luckily for me, bats are very ineffective in a pillow fight, and each challenger met his/her doom with a brilliant flourish much to the appeal of the coliseum crowd of my wife and dog. After these occasional battles, my wife decided to buy the product in an attempt to end the gruesome spectacle. For about 2 days after I plugged the thing in and set it to the blue mode when I was home and the red mode when I was away, as the directions suggested, I noticed no difference. The bats remained in their ancestral homeland and taunted me with their squeaks and squawks as they continued to assert their dominance. But then about 2 night later, everything changed. I awoke in the night after what felt like a sock dropped on my face at about 3 AM. I quickly swatted it from my ajar and snoring mouth and turned on the light to assess the situation. When the lights came on I realized what was occurring. AMBUSH!! The bats had not been merely echo-locating in the ceiling since my purchase, but were planning their attack to take over my family’s single-wide for good! How could I have been so complacent. In the faint glow of my bedroom’s light fixture, I spotted 4 bats flapping around the room with malicious intent. Their plan was sound, as my normal gladiatorial armor was in the laundry bin after a long day’s work, leaving me in only my bare feet, boxers, and oversized sleeping t-shirt. I had to make do with what I had. Both my wife and dog sprung into action. My wife started screaming loudly, in what I now realize was an attempt to jam their echo-location (smart), and my dog leapt onto the bed and began jumping up in a futile effort to snatch them out of mid-air, her jumping abilities were not adequate to aid in the fray. As the battle began I grabbed two pillows and began a rapid wind mill motion with the cushions. Two bats immediately rushed me with supersonic synchronization, however, the rapid, two-pillow fan blade motion had not been seen by their ilk before. They were quickly dispatched. I ceased the blur of motion after what had been a physically taxing tactic. Realizing his opening, the third warrior sped at my head, but I was able to duck and utilize a back handed swing of the pillow in my right hand to send him violently into the wall. Then there was one. A battle of wills ensued, it was one-on-one, mano y mano. The final bat was clearly the leader of the pack as his swoops and flaps were made with great vigor. The melee continued until the final warrior was slain, and my body was exhausted. I wiped the sweat from my brow and gathered the bodies of the fallen. As I laid the warriors to rest, I had realized that my purchase had led them to such a desperate attack on me and my family. Over the next few days, the rustling in my ceiling had stopped, and I realized that the elder council of bats had decided their territory was no longer able to be held. This decision was made based on the incessant super-sonic noise of the product and my superior combat prowess. They had moved on. The only remainder of resistance came from one cunning and wrathful, albeit young and rash bat that laid in wait for me on my shower curtain, presumably to dispatch me while on my porcelain throne. Unfortunately for him, my trials in battle had made me a hardened, bat combat veteran. He too met his end. Brave fool. Since the final skirmish, I have had no more invaders. I only hope that this is a permanent peace, and not an opportunity for the bats to regain their former combat power and unleash an even more powerful offensive. Overall, I can’t say whether my heroic exploits or the product were the most effective, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt. It works as described. With its aid, I have won the great bat war of 2020. TL;DR- Excellent product. Highly recommended, the bats literally came out of the walls.

Wasps seem to absolutely hate these!
UPDATE: after a month or so of use all 3 purchased devices keep automatically turning back down to green level, despite me continually setting it to the blue level. Not only that, our entire house is swarming with moths and gnats. My original problem? Well, let’s just say this is a big joke. None of the three devices actually do anything for either moths, lizards, gnats or fruit flies. Not sure if I have defective units or if their life span was only a month or so, but either way this was a huge waste of money. Don’t waste your money and look for another solution! Living in a humid climate, during the last few weeks I noticed a lot of lizards getting indoors and for some reason, a lot of wasps entering the house through the chimneys. I bought 3 of these devices and installed them in relatively open areas hoping that the walls don’t impede the ultrasonic frequencies. Our home has an open concept in the main living areas and very high ceilings which open up to the gaming room and the bedrooms upstairs. I was hoping one of these would take care of the game room upstairs and the entire living space downstairs. I have placed them for about two weeks and while I did catch lizards on a glue trap we purchased, I do notice that non of the wasps who enter through the fireplace like to stay downstairs! They always go up to the game room and drop dead! I also unfortunately have a moth infestation due to all the COVID dry food we stocked up on and I would have LOVED to be able to kill them off as they’ve made their way into destroying hundreds of dollars of food, but unfortunately I do not have an outlet to plug this in there! It is true though, the walls do impede the sounds and thus reduce the efficacy of these devices. The green and blue light settings have completely silent functioning but the red has a very annoying buzz. You definitely want to be out of the house when you switch it on to red. Otherwise they’re very easy to operate and seem to be effective though I haven’t reached the full 4 week period of adjustment. Definitely hopeful though!

This is legit! No Roaches
Unlike some other reviewers, I want to be blunt: I got this for a ROACH problem I was having in my condo unit. Specifically in the kitchen. Short review: This product works! Get it. I have not seen a roach since I purchased it 3 months ago. I wanted to spell that out because a lot of product reviews and descriptions were very vague and reviewers may be shy to admit such a common yet embarrassing problem. I was desperate and needed to be sure. You may be desperate and I want to tell you: Yes this is legit! Long Review: I was very skeptical about using ultrasonic repellers for this specific problem because I always thought it was some kind of hoax. I thought that at best it probably worked for mice since they were mammals. But certainly not for insects and bugs. I was wrong. I now know, after 3 months, that this product made the difference. Years ago I was very successful in keeping two apartments that I had previously lived in, at separate times, roach free. And I knew for a fact that my neighbors, at those times, had roaches. I used boric acid (an oldie but goody) and one apartment I used Tempo. I used these products because I don't like roach bombs (I highly discourage their use) and roach sprays. When I moved to my condo years ago, I heard one of the owners had problem tenants. One of the problems being they brought roaches. I hoped for the best and still enjoyed four years roaches free. In the last two years there were a few condos that families moved in or out and it must have disturbed something because all of a sudden I had a full blown roach problem in the kitchen. I fought back with my usual weapons of mass destruction and achieved some kind of success. And despite the fact I broke down and had an exterminator come in once, I was STILL seeing one or two a day! That's one too many for me! I spoke to a neighbor about the problem and she looked at me dumbfounded and said she didn't see any roaches in her place. At first I didn't believe her as a lot of people don't like to admit they have that problem. Finally I asked her what she was using. She told me she had an ultrasonic repeller in her condo. She always keeps one there because years ago she had a mice problem and she couldn't stand them. We both figured that must be keeping the roaches away as well. I decided to give it a try. After looking at many products and their descriptions and carefully reading reviews, I chose the Neatmaster Ultrasonic Pest Repeller. The number one reason was that it was one of only a few that said it SPECIFICALLY repels roaches. Others seemed vague saying "insects and bugs". I know roaches are a bug but Neatmaster was willing to said that directly. I also liked the look of the product and that it has an updated technology (the white 2020 model). It also can be set on one of three levels depending on your house's level of infestation. (note: Level 3 is a super high level for extreme infestation and meant to be used temporarily AND with no one OR pets in the house. See your instructions) I brought the three pack and put one in the kitchen (on level 2), one outside the kitchen/dining (level 1) , and one in the main bath (level 1). Within 24 hours I saw two roaches that were very disorientated. It was weird because they didn't run away and I was able to smash them easily. Since then I've NEVER seen another one and am one HAPPY customer. They say their product lasts at least five years so I'm hoping they continue to make good quality products like this for years to come. One more thing is it's suppose to be safe around children and pets. And it's hygienic because you don't have to deal with nasty dead roach bodies laying about as this product repels them away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It works but...
I have had a mouse problem in my house for years and out of sheer desperation, decided to get two of these units. With some of the positive reviews, I'd figured that I had nothing to lose. I was desperate and these critters keep coming into my house. I couldn't find the entry points within my basement and they were having a party in my stove, so I had to reclaim my home. I called a superb pest control company and the guy set up traps and poison everywhere. I was given realistic expectations that it would take several months for the rodent population to diminish. During those months, I would find countless of dead mice in those traps and was pretty tired (and grossed out) having to discad the carcasses. When i got these units, I popped them into the outlets in the front and the back of my basement. I originally had it set on green/blue light because I was afraid it might affect my dog - thankfully, it didn't. My basement is unfinished and I only go down to the basement on a as needed basis. The unit 'seemed' to be working but I found a mouse, so I decided to up the game by setting it to red. Well, lo and behold, it worked. It really keeps the mice away from entering my home and I was absolutely ecstatic. Unfortunately, it is loud and scathing when set to high. You can't be in the same room while it's going off. Because I'm not inhabiting downstairs and only go there for a small while, it's not really an issue for me (plus I'm kinda hard of hearing). Our offspring is a professional musician and is hypersensitive to the sound and refuses to go into the basement because of it. I know it works because when we had a short power outage, the units were reset back to default blue levels. As a result, a mouse made its way in and died in a glue trap. So I have to extra vigilant and remember to set it back to high after a power outage. I haven't seen one for the past year and purchase an additional 2 units in case the two downstairs die on me. So far it's been going on strong since 2022. Let's hope I don't jinx it. Placement of the units are important too cuz if you have too much stuff, then the sound won't project far enough.

The Ultrasonic Pest Repeller is AWESOME!!!!!!
Every summer when it gets unbearably hot, bugs and spiders always find somehow to sneak into my house. Its usually tolerable as these bugs are usually just tiny moths or flies. Recently however i found a huge brown spider about 3-4 inches in diameter. I completely freaked out and decided i needed to get this under control. I’m not really into using raid and toxic repellants or chemical pest control so i researched various non chemical options and found this here on amazon. I read all the great reviews and i was sold. I was a little reluctant because i am sensitive to ear ringing and noise. When i received my Ultrasonic Pest repeller it was very easy to use, just plug and play and set it & forget it. There are 3 settings (Green for small insects, Blue for most pests like small insects, spiders, flies, etc., and Red for rodents like rats and larger insects like crickets, grasshoppers, and large spiders). Note the Red setting is for extreme cases and should not be used while you are home, it is recommended to use this when you are not home because the sound is quite irritating. I used the Blue setting and i haven’t seen a single spider or insect in my room. This product guarantees a pest free environment within the square foot size of a normal living space like a living room or bedroom however i noticed that my entire house is moth, spiders and fly free. Another thing i was concerned about was that i was gonna find dead bugs all over the place but so far so good. No dead bugs like you would experience with bug traps or bug zappers, apparently it works by sound that agitates the pests repelling them from the area surrounding the device. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase. My Ultrasonic Pest repeller is plugged and set up in my bedroom which is on the second floor on the east side of my home and again i do not detect any sound emitting form it when it is set on Blue or Green. I have now been using the Ultrasonic Pest Repeller for about 5 months now and I was planning to buy more units for the rest of my home but so far it seems like i don’t need to as my entire home is pest free. (Note: at the time of writing this review It is 94 F outside)

Real person and it WORKs
I never trust these reviews as I often think it is a rep of the company writing them. I purchased this for my elderly mother who lives alone. Her dog has recently passed away and she is still mourning the loss and isn’t ready to replace the pooch. With the dog gone a couple of weeks now she has had some type of critter move in the small attic of her breezeway between her detached garage and house. This has been bothering her something fierce. We hired an exterminator and paid like $450 to have some traps set and “25X” stronger than off the shelf poison. (Or at least they told it was). Whatever the critter was, it ate a hole in the wood between the gutter and soffit to gain entry. The area is tight and no human can gain access without some significant work. The exterminator said we should patch the hole and use some type of metal otherwise they will eat through and gain entry exit/again. He suggested an old license plate. My mom had several, so we chose one she didn’t think meant much and we patched the hole. We placed some new wood over it and painted it to look nice and unnoticeable. Well the little critter ate a hole around the plate and either exited or entered. Mom called me back a few day later because it sounded like a tennis match up there. (She does her puzzles in this area daily). So I went online and found this thing! It’s a good thing she is hard of hearing! So we cut a 6” by 6” hole in the attic wall in the garage to gain some access. We put the thing on the end of an extension cord. We taped it to the extension cord real good and I tossed it through the hole as best as I could. One thing about it though if it loses power it defaults to off. My thoughts were if she had friends over who could hear better she would could just unplug it and then plug it back it when they leave. That doesn’t work so well as it defaults it off when unplugged. Long story short, she heard some things the first day, but since then they have been gone and have came back. Her hearing is ok and can hear most things, but this thing must be in a range she can’t hear it, but I can. Green I can’t hear, blue I can, and red is like so annoying! We put it on red since she couldn’t hear that. I told her to go ahead and unplug if friends come and I would go back up and toggle it back to red if her friends could hear it. 1 week now, no critters

This thing is totally working its magic.
Here's our story: we live in an old house in a rural area. We often get a few mice when the weather turns cold. We prefer humane treatment of the problem, so we use live-catch traps and relocate the mice and do things like keep all our food in sealed containers and put out cotton balls soaked in peppermint oil, etc. These methods have always worked for us. This year, however, was different. Toward the end of winter, when the mice are usually more keen to be outside anyway, we started seeing droppings. So, we set the live-catch traps out and on one night alone, we caught NINE mice. Clearly, we had a huge and sudden problem. We finally realized that they had built a nest in our unused fireplace vents. We took the grates off, cleaned everything as best we could, and then I started doing some internet searches for humane deterrents. A few years ago, we purchased a small sonic repeller and plugged it into the outlet in our closet-sized pantry. We haven't had a mouse in there since, but I chalked it up more to the fact that all the food was in sealed containers and we sealed up all possible entry points. But I thought, why not try something similar in the living room near the fireplace? ANYTHING was worth trying for the size of infestation we were witnessing. We followed all the recommendations I could find about cleaning up and prepping for the repeller's efficacy. The instructions said that it might take about two weeks before the infestation is gone, and that there could even be some increased activity in that time as the mice are looking for other places to go. We plugged the device in, set the humane traps, and waited. Over the two weeks, we did catch a few mice--not nearly as many as we were previously catching--and then, BOOM, just shy of the two week mark, there were miraculously no more mice. We literally haven't caught a single once since and haven't seen any more droppings anywhere. We have the repeller set on the middle setting and can't hear a thing. Both our toddler and our dog play in the living room regularly, so clearly they can't hear it either. The top setting would clear out any space, I imagine--the sound is so awful it makes your teeth hurt. Thankfully, we didn't have to resort to that setting. The ONLY reason I would only give 4 stars instead of 5 is that the device is so large it takes up the entire outlet. And being that we're in an old house, we don't have that many outlets. So that is slightly bothersome, but completely and totally worth the efficacy of this thing. If we ever come across another infestation, you can bet that we will be ordering another one of these without any hesitation.

Price hike?!
This products works. I bought my first one in Jan 2021 and kept it on in the living room 24/7. And then somehow my mum turned it off last night. This morning, there were so many ants attacking my honey stars! So i decided to get another one but, the price has doubled!!!! I paid $52 in Jan and now it’s over a $100??
