I recently bought Ken Forkish's 'Flour Water Salt Yeast' as part of an attempt to make my own sourdough bread at home, while in the lockdown we're all experiencing. The book says I need a dutch oven – so I looked around for a suitable candidate. Having seen many of the alternatives, I landed on this one, and while I was hesitant at first to purchase it, with a higher price, I'm very glad now that I chose this. It's big, really well made and heavy. It's enamelled and pre-seasoned cast iron meaning it's pretty much good to use and has great non-stick qualities. It holds heat really well, and the cast iron lid has little pimply things under the lid which serves to drop condensed moisture back on to whatever is in the pot. I use this for bread making a few times a week, and have yet to explore other things it can do, but I am very confident it can handle casseroles, curries, bologneses, stews and many other things you use a pot for with ease. If you're looking for a solid, cast iron dutch oven which will last a long, long time – get this one.

Good quality, heavy pot. Big enough for a large pot roast for a family. Silicon mat and handles were a nice addition. 2023 update. 3 years on and it still looks like new. No chipping on the enamel and no rust anywhere. It gets used regularly for casseroles, curry and pot roasts and works well on my new induction hob. It has turned out to be great value for money and I would still rate it as 5 stars.

Firstly this pot is a beautiful colour - I bought the red one and it's just gorgeous to look at. It's heavy (as you'd expect a cast iron pot to be!) but it's easy to use with big handles on the side. I've cooked pot roasts, stews & casseroles and I've also slow-cooked multiple larger joints like shanks/oxtails, etc and it's just perfect for all of these. The non-stick is excellent and makes it very easy to clean afterwards. I've used mine many times and it still looks brand new after being washed. Superb quality and value.

This was a birthday present as I wanted to make sour dough bread and didn't have an effective pot. It is very heavy as one would expect of cast iron, but does its job and more. It bakes uniformly without burning my sour dough bread, as well as delicious on stove casseroles, perfectly searing whatever you want first. The lid is used as a frying pan - again excellent heat distribution and the fact that they give you a silicone stand and holder when you remove it from heat (much better that a tea towel or other type of oven mit) makes all the difference. Oh and easy to clean too!

Good ditch oven at a decent price. After seasoning with oil it was non-stick. Used it for general cooking like stews and also for baking sourdough. Worked well for both.

Great value for money, this dutch oven is brilliant and handles crazy heat. My family is amazed on how much better the food tastes when cooked in this. Don't take notice of those sating this is bad quality because it rused, they very obviously do not know what they are doing, it is cast iron so yes if not cared for properly it will rust very fast. I dry mine as soon as I wash it (with water only), then put it on the stove for a bit to make sure all water is gone and then wipe it with a little vegetable oil, every single time ! And I never had any issue.

No issues here. Others said it rusts but ignore the fact it comes pre-seasoned and season it yourself before use. After each use, use hot water (no soap) scrub with plastic scrubbers and re-oil. If it gets rusty, mine hasn't yet, make sure to remove the rust then season it a few times by placing it in an oven on hot 200C for an hour with a THIN amount of oil and do that a few times and it will be like new. Little and often is better than a massive amount once as the oil will form bubbles.

La acabo de recibir y a primera vista se ve excelente había comprado una de la marca Lodge pero llegó rota y la tuve que devolver, después encontré esta olla de UNO CASA y que diferencia, desde el empaque ya sabes que estás recibiendo calidad, viene con complementos de silicon para agarrar la olla y evitar quemaduras así como una base de silicon para la mesa, el producto se ve fuerte y de excelente calidad sin duda lo recomendaría y no espero más para hacer un delicioso pan usando alguna de las recetas que vienen en el libro digital.

Item met my expectation. Have tried using it. Only issue is the rust if not dried after use. Else, I am satisfied with the product.
