Hood LED, 20"

Love this lid for my aquarium. My previous one I only had for about a year and the small led lights stopped working. I love how this one you can just replace the lights and don’t have to replace the entire lid. The lids cost almost as much as a whole new tank so that’s a huge plus for me. It comes with one bulb that is nice and bright and a lot bigger than the little led squares my last one had. This is of good quality and the light sits over glass so it’s not exposed to the water in the tank or anything. I can actually see my fish now lol it was super easy to set up and my plants and fish love it so far! Hoping it helps my plants grow.

I bought this as a replacement to the glass top canopy and fluorescent light bar I'd been using for years after the glass top broke. I was cautious at first, because I wasn't sure how my plants would fare with the LEDs, but I'd heard good things about combing the "daylight white" bulb they give you with the hood with the "colormax" bulbs sold separately. Keep in mind, the 36" x 11" hood only takes two bulbs. Given other reviews I thought it took 3, so I ended up with an extra. I don't know how the plants will fare yet. I will post an update in a month or so with how they're doing. Build quality is good, same quality plastic as ye olde fluorescent/incandescent hoods. Glass panel to separate lights from water. Two size cut outs in the back for HOB filters, an area to run tubing/cords through, and a breakout for a heater if needed. Fits my big Aqua Tech 30-60 filter great. The "Daylight White" bulbs are a very cold light. I recommend two "Colormax" bulbs if you're looking for something a little warmer. Moonlight feature is neat.

Acquired a fish tank without a hood and this hood fits perfect!!! Assembly is very easy although it is tough to get the cutouts for filter off but just used scissors to start then could fold or twist to get the plastic to release. The lights are great, comes with the white day light and there are two small blue lights for night.

Fit great on my 10 gallon tank. Well made and cheap looking. Love the lights as you can choose light or night light. I also like that you can buy other color lights to put in also as it has another outlet for another bulb. I like that the switch is on the light itself and not one that dangles down. Very happy.
