This IS the one you want!!!
These are the Original Recordings for the 45 rpm singles versions of these classic songs! These are the versions of Dionne's songs that you heard on the radio growing up in the 60s and 70s. Finely produced by Rhino Records (reputable for producing excellent CDs of the retro stuff). Unfortunately, I previously bought "The Best of Dionne Warwick" 2 CD set just a week prior (which is also a Rhino Records CD) and was extremely disappointed that it was chock full of NOT the original recordings. While true Dionne fans often say her voice improved with age (and they have a point), listening to re-recordings that are not the Original Recordings is so disappointing on so many levels. This is because they lack the nuances of inflection and timing that sends chills up your spine like the first time you ever heard the song on the radio. Here, with "The Very Best of Dionne Warwick," you get all Original Recordings (45 rpm single versions as were spun on the radio back in the day). So you can experience those chills up your spine again, and fall in love with Dionne all over again! :)

It's Dionne Warwick, pure excellence!
I haven't had a chance to play the CD yet, but like I said, it's Dionne Warwick, so I know that I am in for a wonderful listening experience! She and the late Burt Bacarach, really did make beautiful, uplifting, and soulful music together.
