If you are a fan, you know how he kind of kneads the dough as it were through repetition of little music segments (i'm sure there's a term for it but i'm no music expert.) When I first listened to it, I liked 3 tracks and couldn't stand the rest. It seemed very disconnected with no continuity as if the tracks were out of order or something. It took me about 8 listens to let it sink in--after all, it is a sampler, so the tracks aren't going to be related to one another necessarily. After the period of adjustment, I am happy with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delightfully different ! *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2012* I love most of the music that has been performed by Philip Glass - my favorites are Glassworks and Passages. I have to add this to the list of my Philip Glass favorites. It is not the usual Philip Glass and at first that made me unhappy - I was expecting something more like Glassworks or Music With Contrary Motion, but I copied the CD to a thumb drive along with a lot of other music and was listening to it in my van. I grew to really like this music and wondered who the performer was ! When I checked it out and found that it was Philip Glass I was surprised ! This is well worth the money to purchase or download. The music is lively , full of fanfare and very relaxing. On a scale of 1 to 10 I have to give this CD at least a 9.
