Perfect replacement for Kohler Cimmaron 1.28 Gal canister valve assembly service kit. The retaining ears on the old one suddenly broke off and water was refilling several times a day. See photo for 2- broken ears on the old one. The gasket is smaller than the original but did seal fine.

Perfect fit for my 12 year old discontinued Kohler toilet

Easy to install...if you can decipher the instructions.
I saw an earlier review where a guy, who said he's a big guy, had a HARD time installing this. I can relate, because the directions are a bit unclear to the layperson. "If the base was removed, apply dish soap between the gasket and the flange of the replacement base." This means applying dish soap to the TOP surface of the gasket and is absolutely essential, because it allows the gasket to compress and expand out from the flange. Otherwise the gasket can't compress properly, and it's extremely hard to jam the base down hard enough to rotate the three plastic tabs at the bottom to engage the base of the tank. So hard, in fact, that it's more likely that you'll break the tabs or other parts of the base first. Oh, and if you have to replace the base, remove the canister first. That was not clear either in the instructions. Hope this helps!

Works for me! But tough to install!
I have a 2018 Kohler Cimarron single-piece commode that leaked water out between the base gasket and the bottom of the tank. This kit fixed the leak, but it was a bear installing the new gasket with the new base. I applied dish soap between the gasket and all surfaces of the new base before attempting the install, but the thickness of the bottom of the tank meant that I had to apply all the force that I could muster to compress the gasket to fit between the base flange and bottom of the tank while moving the bottom tabs on the base underneath the tank bottom and locking the base in position. In my opinion, the ease of installing this kit is totally dependent on how thick the bottom of your tank is.

Genuine Kohler Part that fits Cimmaron One-Piece Toilet
After much research I found this. Perfect replacement for the cylinder in the Kohler Cimmaron One-Piece Toilet even if the part number does not match but you have the triangular opening in the base of the cistern this should fit. Also be careful with the triangular tabs that hold it in place. One of these had snapped off on the old cylinder and my toilet was continuously running hence the need for the repair. Seems they are apt to break off - follow the provided instructions (dish soap and pressure on the gasket) when installing and you should be OK.
