Unfortunately the iPod slowly started to break until eventually it just packed up altogether.We've been using this for the past week or so, and its simplicity leads me to believe that this device is far superior to the iPod it has replaced. Not only is the way that you transfer songs and audio files a lot easier*, it also has a decent battery and has nearly all the features of the iPod (barring a camera but who on earth used that?)*Transferring files from an iPod required iTunes with an active apple account to be linked to, a complicated pairing and repairing process a few times because it for some reason decided to unlink and required a factory reset, and used an annoying 30 pin connector.Using this MP3 player, it's a case of drag/dropping files using a mini USB cable and then it's done. No complicated firmware and certainly no issues playing the majority of audio codecs.It comes with earphones, and although these aren't of great quality, they do the job nicely for my dad (who is getting on a bit). Handy for gym. *by J***H on 5 August 2019* The mp3 player is as small as the iPod nano.Its function is similar to an iPod nano, but the micro sd card makes it easier to use than iPod, as you are not restricted to the annoying iTunes anymore. You can easily copy and paste files to and from an sd card and potentially replace it with a bigger card for extra content.The only downside of it is that it is charged via a mini usb cable.I am already replacing most of the cables in my house from micro usb to usb C, let alone a mini usb.
