Fujifilm FinePix T500 16MP Digital Camera (Black)

I sold cameras for five years and the best value at most price points were the FinePix line. They offer great color and low light performance. That being said, if you expect any point and shoot camera to do well in low light you're going to be disappointed. You can spend 5-10x more on a more expensive camera, but you're not going to get 5-10x better performance. At most, getting a $250-399 point and shoot will get you 25% better grain in low light and some features that you never asked for. When taking photos indoors, use your flash and don't use your zoom. This will take beautiful pictures outdoors and is an improvement over your cell phone for casual shots. Heads up, this camera charges via USB, it does not include a stand alone battery charger. Extra batteries for this camera are cheaper than a set of rechargeable AAs.

I have owned two previous Fujifilm FinePix cameras, and was very happy with both of them. So when the latest one bit the dust, I bought this as a replacement, but it simply was not as good. Every photo I took was blurry towards the edges, as though it wasn't focusing correctly. It also seemed to take longer to focus & take a pic than my previous cameras. Finally, after just a few weeks the display somehow got stuck on the wrong resolution - probably a software bug? - and nothing we tried (including a complete reset) fixed it. So I'm returning it. Very disappointed. :-(

Honestly, it makes me sad to know that this camera is so unknown, Only 2 other customer reviews (Other than mine), this camera has a lot of potential in my opinion. It takes very nice quality pictures, the colors are stunning. Video is good, and the zoom is great for such a small compact camera. For $60, you can't get a better camera, and I am absolutely serious about that. I really hope more people find out about this camera, because I think it will get a lot of sales and positive reviews.

You get what you pay for. Picture quality was mediocre. Even my 10 year old Fuji E550 blows this away. Video, in addition to being poor, also picked up every sound of the camera, especially the lens zooming in and out..

Really nice camera for the price. Get a spare battery though.

Didn't make it through one Burning Man. Slow shutter speed, not great for action shots and bad for low light situations.

Je l'ai testé dès que je l'ai reçu, il est parfait pour ce que je souhaite en faire ; photos d'intérieur et d'extérieur, photos-souvenirs. J'ai photographié mon chien (test..) en intérieur, les couleurs sont très bien. Bon rapport qualité prix

Comperata per i suoceri ho scelto questa fotocamera perche' ho gia' un' altra Fujifilm non dello stesso modello ma simile. Molto piccola ma ergonomica, forse i tasti e pulsanti piccoli per le persone di una certa eta'. E' comunque sufficiente mettere in automatico che in un lampo ,la fotocamera scatta la foto. In abbinamento con scheda SD 16 gb da 4Mb/s e' molto veloce a memorizzare le foto oppure i video. Ottimo lo zoom che tende ovviamente a sgranare. Per il resto nulla da segnalare, Amazon sempre puntuale .

Had another Fujifilm camera before but wore it out (though still working). This is a fantastic point and press camera, photographs are sharp and clear, the lens is brilliant for the price. Limited menu options and not as easy to use as my older model, but much lighter so can easily slip in a pocket. If you always like to have a camera with you this one would be a good choice. The lends makes it particularly strong on landscapes.

A dispetto del corpo in plastica, è molto solida, appena comprata ha fatto un bel volo ed è rimasta intatta ma questo, credo, sia il suo unico pregio! Ho questa fotocamera da circa 2 mesi e non mi ha entusiasmato. L' ho testata in vari ambiti (in montagna con i paesaggi, alle cene al ristorante, con le macro) certo, fa il suo sporco lavoro ma senza rendere grandi soddisfazioni! COLORI PIATTI SENZA VIVACITà, programmi classici con preimpostata la funzione "faccio tutto io (...ma spesso sbaglio!)", prontezza all' accensione e nella registrazione di foto e filmati ma molto lenta nel trovare la messa a fuoco o riconoscere i volti, FOTO SPESSO MOSSE! Possedevo una compatta della Pentax che nonostante i suoi ormai quasi 10 anni e dei mediocri 6megapixel restituiva foto più emozionanti!!! Non soddisfatto!

Fantastic camera for the money. Loads of different settings which i have yet to try but the few shots i have taken have been excellent quality. Wanted the options of a SLR but in digital format. This is exactly the camera for me. Lightweight and very easy to use. Don't think the item description does it justice. Shame it doesnt come with a case.
