It doesn't fold flatter, as pedals and handles and base still stick out, it just decreases the width of the center space by about 3 inches. **Q: With this bike, can you stand and pedal at the same time? or do you have to be sitting in order to pedal?** A: I wouldn't advise standing and pedalling.
