I love waffles… I hate cleaning electric waffle makers. You can never really get them clean while worrying about getting the electronic parts wet. These plates come OUT! This has to be the best invention since… well, waffles!

Works well, would recommend! The removable plates are a great feature. A few things to note: It definitely gets warm enough to produce great waffles, pictures show a few options for"doneness" The size of each waffle is perfectly petite The instructions tell you to rely on the green light to tell if it was ready or your waffle was done. Never came on for me Instead, waiting on the amount of steam to peak, then decrease was a good indicator. About 3 minutes. Very easy to clean and size your pours to minimize overflow. Most recipes (2 cups flour, 2 eggs) will make about 16 waffles. Overall a great machine if you like smaller waffles and are cooking for a small family.

I wanted a waffle iron that allowed me to take out the plates for cleaning. The bonus that I received with this product was making 2 waffles rather than 4 at a time. This is a money saver- I am not able to eat 4 and would often just waste batter or make extra waffles and forget I put them in the freezer.

These get very very hot. Keep that in mind. I used them once for waffles, and after that I use it for hamburgers and hot dogs bc it gets hotter than a george foreyouknowhat... These have removable plates that can be put in the dishwasher, and that part is great... but things drip down in the other parts that can't be put into the dishwasher, and that's a bummer bc it make this smoke and stink up the place.

We bought this and after receiving had a nice breakfast including delicious waffles using the Elechomes waffle maker. The second time we went to use it it would not turn on. I contacted the company. The customer service was five star. They immediately sent me a new one. As soon as I received it I made a few waffles and they came out perfect. Customer service has contacted me since to make sure I am satisfied. I love the feature that allows the cooking plates to Pip out for easy cleaning. The size is perfect that we plan on taking it with us in our travel trailer. Waffles camping!

I used this waffle iron for the first time last night. I wanted to make a batch of waffles to freeze and have throughout the week. To start, the lights are really dim so its hard to see if they are even lit. There was also a burning plastic smell from when I turned it on to when it stopped working (I cleaned and dried the plates prior to use). I had overflow out of the sides when i used the recommended amount of batter, so each time i lessened the amount, but still had overflow. By the fourth batch I had minimal oozing, but the waffles were about half the size of what they should be and so the top plate barely touched the batter and they didn't cook all the way through on top. After that it just stopped working. The lights were off and it wouldn't get hot mid cook. So I had to scrape away a barely cooked waffle out of the plates. The oozing batter had burned onto the plastic and it is impossible to get off once it cools. But you can't clean it right away because its too hot. So even if it hadn't broken, I would still be really disappointed. Waste of $45. Went with this one because I liked the removable plates "for easy clean up".

This has been a great little waffle maker for 2 years. But about 6 months ago, the latch stopped working to keep it closed & then today, the top griddle stopped staying latched in place when lifting the lid. The waffles don't stick, easy to use & its easy to clean. There is no temp control.

After posting the review below, I heard from a representative of the company. They sent me a replacement unit and followed up with me a couple of times to make sure I was happy. So, five stars for customer service, and so far, five stars for the unit. PROS: The grid plates pop off for easy cleaning. CONS: The cons for this appliance are that cleaning is a nightmare if you overfill. The batter will rundown underneath the plate. Now, the one they sent me today has a crack in the housing and a huge gap between the housing and the heating unit underneath the plate, and maybe that’s why this happened, but still, that steps weren’t taken to make sure batter didn’t get to the heating unit (!!!) is a concern. So, yay! Removable plates, but that’s pretty much it.
