Works, but..... split audio issue with GMRS radio
Setup is simple with a GMRS Midland radio and factory stereo with AUX input. Issue was that every time I powered up the radio my factory system audio would drop with distortion then slowly come back after a minute and I could use both fine through the factory setup. When turning the radio off, the same drop and distortion would happen again. That is when it occurred to me that the Midland line-out is not headphone or line level, it is technically speaker out and labeled as such. I just did not notice. So I bought this SNI-35 and hooked it up. It did take care of the weird drop and distortion issues. Great! But when hooked up there is a MASSIVE drop in audio volume on the other aux input - again, I have the radio AND an aux input to my factory system - they aux port is factory and usually my phone is going to it. As soon as I unplug the RCA connections on the SNI, audio come way back up. Both adjustment pots are at max clockwise. Does not matter if the GMRS radio is on or not, it simply kills the other input levels. So be warned if you have a setup like mine, it will not work if you are going to an aux input with more than one source. Sadly. But I can not blame the product itself, so five stars since it technically does as it should. I will have to go with another solution.

Not bad, best of the cheap solutions
To get a sub into my 2013 Accord, this did the trick. Tapped into the rear speakers, ran rca to amp along with power and remote. Pretty straightforward. The sound quality is pretty good, although in my opinion the volume is attenuated to compensate for the noise a device like this can introduce. What this means is the PAC LOC volume dials need to be maxed out and my amp dials are nearly maxed out also to get a good volume out of the sub. For comparison, on the Pioneer AVH-4400bh I had this same amp at 35% to 55% volume. Still sounds good, cant detect any clipping. All in all a good piece, does what its supposed to - at a very fair price.

Perfect solution for adding aftermarket head unit in Audi with BOSE
Audi cars with BOSE send a low level signal from the head unit to external amplifier(s), the problem when replacing the stock head unit with an aftermarket is that the voltage is not the same as most other traditional RCA low level signal from aftermarket Head Units such as Pioneer, Alpine, Sony... Which typically use about 4v RCA signals. I specifically replaced the factory RNS-E navigation with BOSE unit in my 2006 Audi A4 with a direct from China Android 4.4 navigation unit. It came with a plug and play quad lock harness and the suggested connection method was to connect the RCA out from the HU to the RCA's they provided in the connector which mates with the factory harness going to the BOSE amplifier(s). In this configuration the signal was a bit to low and it had really bad noise from the car, when I turned on the HID headlights it got a lot worse too. The PAC SNI-35 was a perfect solution for both the lower volume and the noise. The correct way to install these (two are needed on systems with BOSE) is to wire them to the Hi Level speaker level output wires coming from the head unit and then connect the RCA out to the vehicle side harness going to the BOSE amplifier. This is also known as a "HI/LO converter". The Chinese navigation unit I used had RCA on a quad lock connector which made that side plug and play with the vehicle harness, I suspect most aftermarket units like pioneer and such May not come with the Quad lock connector to connect to the vehicle harness and you may need to either buy a mating quad lock or do some cut and splice. I set the gain on these to about 25% as seen in the attached image. A few more notes, many Audis without navigation which use other stock HU's like Symphony and such may have ISO connectors on the harness rather than quad lock, the principles are still the same. Also note some audi's without BOSE still have an external amplifier but it's us usually only for the rear speakers while the fronts are powered by the HU. In this case I believe you would only use one of these converters for the rear amplified speakers. **Update 12/21/2015** I can now confirm that on a 2005.5 Audi A4 (B7) Avant with Symphony II stereo, NON-BOSE, that the front speakers are directly connected to and powered from the Headunit's built-in speaker amplifier and the rear speakers are nearly but not quite RCA low level signals sent to an amplifier. I just installed a Kenwood DDX-6702s head unit using the speaker outs for the front speakers and the RCA for the Rear; the rear signals are too low and I'll be adding one of these SNI-35 to convert there rear speaker outputs from the head unit to a correctly leveled "RCA" signal for the rear amp. Also Note that I had purchased a "PAC RP4-AD11 Radiopro4 Stereo Replacement Interface with Steering Wheel Controls for Select Audi Vehicles with Canbus" for this job at the advise from PAC, apparently they arent aware of the line level differences because this device "almost" made the install plug and play, short of needing more signal to the rear speakers so I'll have to hack an SNI-35 in. Long story short, there still is no PAC one size fits all adapter kit to retain all correct levels, steering wheel controls, and CAN BUS signals (illumination levels, vehicle speed, Parking break or back up sensor signals). In summary, these perfectly attenuated the speaker level signals to match the non-standard levels (which are slightly higher than traditional RCA low level) and the ground loop isolation completely removed all of the hum/buzz noise.

Works well with some ifs and buts
Bought with high expectations. I bought this to connect my micro CD system to my new amp. Until I got this converter, i was using the headphone output to connect to my amp. The price point was reasonable and would not hurt giving a try. First impression - looks solid. Even has output adjustment. Though the instructions are well written but surprisingly the RCA out did not have any marking to indicate L and R. I had to try use the Balance knob on the amp to find out. For the first time I found a good use of Balance adjustment on amp :-) Performance - impressed that this piece did not induce any huming. But overall I did not find it too great for me. The sound seems to be suppressed on the mid frequency. The highs are sharp.. but I found it too sharp for me. The sound when connecteed to headphone out seemed to be more fuller and richer than the output from this converter. Probably I had an option to compare and thus found the difference. Otherwise if you are just using this with just for purpose of getting RCA out from a high-level output..probably you will be ok. Although now its connected to my amp.. but I may not use it often unless I really need that extra line out option. I will probably be keeping it as standby as i more happy with the sound richness from headphone out.

Fantastic
I ordered 2 of these for my 4 channel car audio (which most of the cars have). I bought it due to my factory amp making serious static and buzzing noises from the aftermarket head unit as it does not support hi level input. When I installed these LOCs, the humming noise is totally gone. All sound issues = fixed. It's been about a year now since I bought it and it's working great. No humming noise

It just works
Nice product, looks pretty decent, doesn't have much impact on sound quality. A bit tricky to realise which knobs and wires are for the left/right.
