I bought 3 Retevis headsets, the C9009A, C9029A, and the C9026A. This one, the C9026A worked well, had decent audio in and out as long as I had good reception, but there is a trick to it. While doing my radio check my former band member friend mentioned it sounded like I was overloading my mic, sounding garbled and clipping the audio. I then tried whispering, which didn't activate the mic. We found you need to speak more than a whisper but less than your speaking voice and it comes through very clear. As this was EASILY the most comfortable headset I tried, and my intended use is hunting the quiet speaking is a bonus to me. I will be returning the other models and ordering more of this.

The microphone throat thing works great, and the earpiece is good. Initially I thought the button broke, but it turns out it was an old radio that it didn’t work with. So if button doesn’t work, try a different radio. Seller responded to initial review and I appreciated the great customer service

I used this product with one of the the Retevis H-777 2 Way Radio Walkie Talkie UHF 400-470MHz 3W 16CH VOX Flashlight With Earpiece Hand Held Mobile Ham Amateur Radio Transceiver (6 Pack) . It was my first experience in using a throat mic. It was used while wearing a mascot costume at an indoor party with loud music. The PTT cable was hidden in the arm sleeve followed thought to the interior of a glove. So, when I needed to communicate, I pressed two fingers together for hidden connection. No visible wires! Each of the assistants had a radio, so we could communicate with each other. The increased volume may have caused the loss of my connectivity with others Retevis H777 users on the same channel. At one point, I lost all communication. Others with the standard set-up could communicate, but I could not. Outside, where the background noise was reduced, the 2 way connection worked best. Again, it may be something I'm doing wrong. Maybe... The mic seemed to transmit well when I whispered into it. The PTT cable is very long and works great with the connected button. The back of the button has Velcro pre-glued onto it. There is amble Velcro on the strip to wrap around a finger. Velcro strip is 2 sided, so just unravel and rewrap around the finger. The throat strap fit secure around my neck. I would give it a 5-star, if I received confirmation that the loss of connection in the noisy room was something I did wrong vs some sort of equipment flaw.

It worked perfectly for the job I intended to use it for lightweight and durable wasn't uncomfortable to wear

(1) works well for indoor use or light recreation. (2) if you sweat a lot like I do because of live in a high heat and high humidity climate, then you will literally kill the thing by sweating on it. I used it for paintball once and for outdoor cardio and then it started only transmitting static. Maybe use a sealant like silicone or something on all the possible entry points before you use it.

Right out of the box I could only receive and not transmit. Ptt button did not work.

I like this one better than (at least some of) the others. It seems a bit sturdier. The PTT button wire is longer than others. Receive and transmit audio is good.

I broke a less expensive version and I'm really happy I did. Clear vocals, extra bigger around my neck. Worth the extra cost. Has already lasted longer than the previous one.

Worked great and are very clear when talking or listening through the earpiece.

Way better than I expected! These work great and were very inexpensive. Plastic. They are pretty large. Fit an average male adult well. Loose fit on an average adult woman. Ear piece works well too.

This product is very amazing, I am very impressed with the sound quality and so is my team. I am apart of a major security team in Canada and we would love somehow to an ambassador of the product. Please contact me ASAP, guys were heading me clear from at least 9KM away clearly which was absolutely amazing despite me being at Digital dreams music festival. That should tell you something, but this and the warranty money well spent. If anything it’s too cheap.

Its ok for maybe security. Not for while being in the bush for several days running around with a rifle. Wires will break and distort comms. I ended up pulling it off the radio. One day event airsoft grade thing.

Nice little throat mic. All features working properly. Audio picked up by other radios is a little quiet, but that is expected with a throat mic. No background noise. Audio load and clear when receiving.
