Insane low-light. Not for beginners.
I used the Wyze V3 which in theory has stellar night vision. And then there's this... It's orders of magnitude clearer at night, it's insane. It can be pitch black for my eyes but the camera can see. I'd upload a pic but this place is full of weird people. I have my cam connected to Home Assistant via the Dahua integration and I can turn the LEDs on at will or via automation. I must say that it took me a while to set up just right via the camera directly. There's substreams and a bunch of things to setup that more experienced users would definitely benefit from. This is my first non-junk camera and boy does it feel nice to have a metal housing that doesn't Crack every time you touch it. Make sure to do a vlan or isolate internet access and keep the CCP out of your house.

Better than the cheaper cameras with the same form factor and resolution
If you search for up cameras you’ll find a bunch of armcrest cameras for much cheaper that are also 2k and look just like this. This camera is much better. The night color vision is great and the picture is clearer. I’ll be buying more for anywhere I want good night vision.

Great camera, not good QC.
Camera works great but the first two I received one was a busted box with missing parts. It was clearly a return sent as a new item.

Great image quality
Has a larger sensor than most similar cameras at its price point. Really good night vision and retains good detail. I use with my own server running shinobi, works well with object recognition and plate scanning.

Excellent image quality, amazing low light vision
Color vision at night is cool, however this has no ir vision so if the led spotlights are not on, it cant see in very dark scenes. However, if there is any ambient light, they are the best low light cams I have personally used by a wide margin. Spot lights are very bright, so bright they would be inappropriate in many instances.(they can be turned down, but then must stay on, not come on automatically) If you can use them without irritating the neighbors, they are awesome.

iphone xr vs. ipc 5442 dark basement with outside light.
I snapped a photo with my iphone xr and the 5442....There are no lights on...the ambient lightoutside was enough let the 5442 "see" in very low light. I have heard good things about the quality of this camera. So i decided to try purchasing one. I wasn't expecting i'd ever have to pay too much for an Ip cam, but I'm learning the hardway,,,,the cheaper ones leave you wanting more. I purchased 5 camera's from this seller and they all work great, and the shipping was fast enough, given the World Pandemic. I think it was about 4 days. I'm not sure where I will use this yet, but I wanted say something about how impressed I am with the low light performance, I am using it through Microsoft edge browser and Blue Iris, and just trying different settings...I think I made a solid purchase.

Excellent day and night video
If the area you want to cover is completely dark, and you don't want white light from the camera to annoy your neighbors, get the Loryta IPC-T5442TM-AS which has IR lights. The T5442TM-AS-LED is great for areas where the built-in white light LEDs can be used to give excellent video. If the area is lit by streetlights, you can probably leave the built-in light off. In my experience, this camera is only beat by the Loryta IPC-T2347G-LU, which is slightly better at night. The T5442TM-AS-LED is made by Dahua and uses their setup utilities which usually fail for me. If you aren't comfortable manipulating your computer's IP address, you should look for something else. Or, email the vendor and/or read the ipcamtalk blog for assistance.

Either DOA, or very hard to setup with bad docs
Device comes with basically no instructions. Has no on off switch, and no indicator light to show its getting power. Has ethernet plug and power plug but since supports POE, not clear, but I assume if using POE, not needed. They should make this clear. Also - essentially no docs on setup. There was an image which turned into a link to docs, but that referred to running a configuration tool they didn't provide. And it said to connect to a hardwired IP address that didnt work. There are lots of other positive reviews about this camera, so if you care enough, presumably you can get past these issues. But they make this needlessly difficult to get started, so will try another camera vendor.
