I did not purchase these for tea, as I find osmanthus to be bitter if you over steep it, and I tend to over steep my tea, lol! If you are purchasing this for tea, be sure not to over steep, as you'll end up with a bitter cup of tea. A few minutes is all you need to steep to taste the sweet osmanthus without it turning bitter. I personally purchased these osmanthus flowers to make a homemade hydrosol and an extract with grain alcohol. These osmanthus flowers smell god scent and heavenly! A very sweet, beautiful floral fragrance. I used half the bag to make 4 ounces of hydrosol. It has a beautiful, sweet aroma. I used the other half of the bag to fill a 4 ounce glass bottle with the dried flowers, then covered/filled the bottle with grain alcohol. It is currently infusing for the next 6-8 weeks. I shake it every now and then. These osmanthus flowers are fresh, fragrant, and USDA organic!
