Easy to understand

Bought eight year old Grandson a 61 key keyboard for Christmas and thought this book would get him started with some guidance. I also bought keyboard key/note stickers. All well known tunes for kids in standard notation but with note and chord names shown. A good introduction to the keyboard and reading music. Just the job.

Easy to follow, clear and full of nursery rhymes and popular songs. The only thing missing is maybe a reference chart for which key is which note etc. just if needed, but my 9 year old granddaughters have been able to do a few of the easier rhymes, which is am pleased with all they need now is practice practice practice x

Good for beginners

Simple beginner book that works well for our pre-teen grandchildren. They seem to like it.

My 10 year old grand-daughter seized upon this book and tried all 32 songs in a matter of days. She is not taking formal lessons, but trying to learn on her own. Having the names of the keys within the notes made it easy to play the pieces. I was looking for a beginner book that wasn't just nursery rhymes as she is too old for that, and this book was perfect!
